Hi Morgan, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Photography has always been a part of my life, but it wasn’t until I had my children that I found the time to pursue it more seriously, and I never thought it would become my career! After learning the craft in high school, I set my camera down for years as I became a pediatric nurse. I worked for 10 years as a pediatric and PACU RN. As we had our 3 children, I felt called to stay home with them, and 15 months after having our twins, I found my way back to my photography hobby, expecting it to be a nice outlet! That hobby quickly turned into a full time business, and now I am 2 years in to running Morgan Walworth Photography, specializing in Minneapolis Newborn, Maternity, & Family Photography. It has been an absolute dream come true!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My biggest struggle has been learning how to balance motherhood with growing a small business. I’ve worked every evenings after bedtime, every nap time, and have set many 4am alarms to try to make it all work! I enjoy photography so much that I have to remember to separate work and family life, because my drive to continue growing MWP is strong!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a Minneapolis Newborn and Family photographer, specializing in timeless, true-to-color, light and airy imagery. I capture candid, joyful family moments, with editing that will stand the test of time. I want your photo session to be completely stress free, so my packages are all inclusive, include access to The Client Closet with outfits for moms & babies, and are child-led. My background as a pediatric nurse and mother makes me especially understanding working with children, and I love freezing these moments in time!
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I have been so lucky in the sense that my clients have all been truly incredible!!! My business has completely grown by word of mouth referrals, which is the highest compliment!
