Community Highlights: Meet Roger Sievers of Sievers Creative

Today we’d like to introduce you to Roger Sievers.

Hi Roger, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
We built our company on one simple premise, that we wanted to be the champion for small to medium sized businesses in the mid west. One centralized creative powerhouse that a small to medium sized business can get all the services they need to market and grow their business. Today, that includes digital marketing, website design and development, branding and creative services, photography and video, and custom signage through our in-house sign studio. By bringing those capabilities together, we’re able to act as a true extension of our clients’ teams and help them grow without having to coordinate with multiple vendors.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Some of the biggest challenges have been developing reliable processes and SOPs in an industry that is always changing. Marketing strategies, technology, platforms, and customer expectations continue to evolve, so a process that works today may need to be adjusted tomorrow. We learned that long-term success requires more than simply memorizing a set of procedures. It requires building a team with the right mindset: people who are curious, adaptable, willing to keep learning, and able to think critically when the established process no longer fits the situation.

We’ve been impressed with Sievers Creative, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We’re a marketing and creative agency headquartered in Red Wing, Minnesota, and we’ve built our business around a pretty simple idea: small and mid-size businesses deserve the same caliber of marketing that big brands get without having to hire five different vendors to piece it together.

What we do is broad by design. Under one roof, we handle website design and development, digital marketing (SEO, paid search, programmatic, social), email marketing, branding, video and photo production, audio, and even signs and vehicle wraps through our in-house Sign Studio. That range isn’t about being everything to everyone it’s about being able to build a complete, connected marketing system for a client instead of handing them off between specialists who don’t talk to each other. When your website, your email campaigns, your ads, and the wrap on your service van all speak the same brand language, marketing starts to compound. That’s the whole point.

We’re probably best known for two things. First, our strategic depth we spend real time understanding a client’s business model, customers, and growth goals before we ever talk tactics. Second, our creative craft. We care about how things look, read, and feel. A lot of agencies in our space produce work that’s fine. We’re not interested in fine.

What sets us apart is honestly the combination of a full-service capability set with the accessibility and accountability of a regional agency. Our clients talk to the people doing their work. They know our account managers by name. We show up. And because we’re based in the Midwest and serve businesses across Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the Twin Cities metro, we understand the customers our clients are trying to reach because they’re our neighbors, too.

Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is the consistency of our own brand and the trust we’ve built with clients who’ve stayed with us for years. Our 4.9-star Google rating isn’t an accident it’s the result of doing what we say we’re going to do, doing it well, and being honest when something needs to change. We’ve built a team that genuinely cares about client outcomes, and that shows up in the work.

We’re also investing heavily in where marketing is going next. AI is reshaping how businesses show up online in search, in email, in social, in how customers discover and evaluate brands. We’re building AI-powered tools and workflows into how we serve our clients so they benefit from what’s coming rather than getting left behind by it.

What we want readers to know: if you’re a growing business owner who’s tired of juggling disconnected vendors, or you’ve outgrown the DIY phase and need a real marketing partner who’ll treat your business like it matters that’s who we are. We’d love to talk.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Living a life of impact, not luxury. Our core mission at Sievers Creative is to create impact. Impact for our clients, our team, and the world around us.
