Today we’d like to introduce you to Jayme Pronger.
Hi Jayme, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
My journey started when I was 22 years old landing my first “big gig” at a well-known Plastic Surgeons office in a local hospital. I worked there for many years traveling all around the United States continuing my education and passion in the aesthetics field. At this time, I was considered an Esthetician, and the only place to attend school for this field was the Aveda Institute. In fact, Horst’s wife was my school instructor. For those who do not know Horst was the original founder of Aveda. After leaving the plastic surgeon’s office, I became an independent contractor working for another medical spa while going to school to once again advance myself as a Registered Nurse. I would read books years ago about how the aesthetics field was only going to continue to grow in the future, it definitely has! For example, When I started this industry, glycolic peels and dermaplaning were the skin treatments you did to prepare for surgery. There were only a couple medical skincare lines. One filler and laser company to choose from as well. Well, now there are so many laser, chemical peel, fillers, and various other options in this industry, those books proved correct.
After graduating Nursing school, I still wanted more, I continued my education to become a surgical nurse. I landed a job in a major hospital working in 18 different operating rooms with many different surgeons always finding my passion with the Plastic surgeons! Now I could understand the body from the inside and out.
In summer of 2020 amidst a global pandemic, I figured, heck, what a great time to take the jump! After almost 20 years in the industry, building many amazing relationships, I decided to open Nurse Jayme Aesthetics! This has been my dream since a very young age. This dream came before I even knew there was an industry for it!
My credentials are Licensed Advanced Practice esthetician, Licensed Registered Nurse, Certified Surgical Nurse! I can also say I am the founder of my own business. My drive and love for education won’t die, I already have plans to go back to school. But in the meantime, I can say, business has been amazing! I believe when passion is your “why” the sky is the limit! I love what I do and I feel blessed for everything I have been given the opportunity to achieve!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I was in three different car accidents ironically while attending Nursing school. None of which were my fault. I lost a couple of very close family members during the last 20 years of my schooling. Oh, and I forgot to mention, most of my career and schooling I accomplished as a single parent. I have an almost 18-year-old daughter.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Nurse Jayme Aesthetics?
I offer chemical peels paired with dermaplaning. Laser treatments for redness, pigment, scarring, and acne. I offer Botox and filler treatments. Corrective makeup application as well.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was always considered a leader in my groups. I was in Girl Scouts, Voyaguers which was a dad/daughter group, choir in church and school. Once I got to high school I was very into cheerleading and was captain of the squads most years! I love to teach!
