Today we’d like to introduce you to G Boltz Bolton.
Hi G Boltz, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Started Taekwondo in college as an elective class. I watched a lot of 80’s martial arts movies and always thought it would be cool. Shortly after starting, I started helping out with classes and continued from there. Before I graduated college, I took over my first and second part-time school. I found what really sparked my interest. Teaching is what really excited me and I loved teaching kids and adults. Over the years I continued to grow my skills and the number of people I could teach and be a positive force in their lives and the community I was in. October 1999, I opened my business and stepped into true business ownership. 4-5 years later getting to the point where I was ready to move from a strip mall location into my own building. Now, 15+ years later, I’ve expanded my business into multiple areas to develop multiple revenue streams. I have a right future, with talented staff and a model that will create a reproduce success.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
After really considering this question, the answer was always no, I’ve come to conclusion that the struggles have really made me who I am today. What my business is today. I’ve developed the business with those struggles in mind and they have made me stronger and more successful than I ever would have been without those struggles.
Staffing, customers, a pandemic, each has giving me perspective and challenges that I have overcome. But also, each has taught me a lesson on what to do or what to look for that makes the next thing better. Just learn from everything and enjoy the journey and the process.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a martial artist. I’ve trained in multiple disciplines, Taekwondo for kicking and punching, Hapkido for joint locks and pressure points, and Haidong Gumdo for sword. But this is just the top of the iceberg. If developed into a coach to help personal development of individuals (kids, teens, and adults) and help them become the best versions of themselves by understanding the bodies and become strong in mind and spirit.
I really enjoy helping families work through their development challenges and insecurities to find something that they didn’t always know was there.
Although I’m not most well-known for this, I’ve been involved with the community and given back to the community for so many years and I’m part of what makes are community great.
I’m set apart from so many others because I’ve worked hard to develop a reputation as an honest and trustworthy person and drive every day to keep that reputation intact by my actions every day.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
