Today we’d like to introduce you to Xavier Goodman.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hey my name is Xavier Goodman I was born in Baltimore Maryland but I grew up in the twin cities. Went I was in elementary school I loved watching tv/musicals so much, that I tried out for theater in middle school and high school not thinking anything of it I found myself landing a lead role in every play I auditioned for! While that was happening I was also creating skits, writing my own plays, scripts and songs while learning cinematography, editing and photography on the side while public speaking at events and hosting talent shows. At this time vine was popular so I would post my content consistently on there. But I didn’t start to get noticed until an app called musically came out and I was one of the first 300 people to join the app so I starting filming videos and skits with an android every chance I got in hops to gain an audience on the platform. In the first three month I gained in audience of 70,000 and Well the people over at musically saw this and verified me! So i when and showed everybody I could that I was verified on an app they’ve never heard of.. so they pushed it to the side and so did I. Why would I wanna work on something that’s not popular? So I logged out the app as a sophomore and two years later after I graduated from high school.. that app named “musically’ nobody knew of would soon change it’s name to TikTok! And as soon as I realized this.. the pandemic and I lost my job. But I’d like to think that my thoughts control my reality and everything that happens has a reason for it, its a lesson! An opportunity to see the glass half full! So while the world was in quarantine I took that time and gave myself three months to create a new TikTok page and post content everyday with the intention that this will work! no excuses! After 17 days of post consistently I had my first every viral post with over 3 million views and 1 million likes and I’m still grinding to this day! I started a Production company with a fried called NTT and released our first short film on YouTube called “small talk”. I’m also woking on getting a ted talk soon!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
some obstacles/challenges I’ve faced were
– understanding that if you are the first person to do it in your family then you must create the blueprint that you didn’t have
so others can follow!
– understanding that your may mess up and that’s okay your human we do that
– worrying about what other have to say about you that aren’t where you wanna be ( this includes family/friends )
– not being consistent your life is 90% of what you do
– not appreciating what you have right now, because all you have is all you need to get to where you wanna be!

i am a film producer/ director /musician and also gaining a education in biofeedback and neuroscience.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
1. being kind with no hidden agendas 2. take the blame if you are in the wrong
3. whatever you choose to do in life, give it everything you’ve got and supass your limits
4. think before you speak
5. understand that all you have, is all you need to get to where you wanna be
6. know that growth in uncomfortable
7. be focused
8. be strong in the mind
9. be YOURSELF
10. have knowingness that whatever you do WILL work, there is no such thing as a plan B, because plan B is plan A again
