Today we’d like to introduce you to Sunni Reynolds.
Hi Sunni , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I had originally gone to college for Fashion Merchandising and Advertising. When I graduated with my Bachelor’s in 2011 and started working in my field, I quickly realized it was not for me. I decided to leave my home state of Iowa to hopefully find what I was meant to do. I started working in sales in ATL and was eventually relocated to Alabama. I was miserable and started looking into going to cosmetology school. While I was searching, I found Esthetics – which I didn’t even know existed! I had always struggled with my skin so skincare peaked my interest. Eventually I left the south and moved to Minneapolis. Within a few months I started beauty school to become an Esthetician. I had never had a facial, been inside a spa, only had my brows waxed, didn’t know lash /brow tinting was a thing and never even heard of Estheticians before beauty school. Within one week I knew that I had FINALLY found my place. Immediately after graduation I started at a local Salon Spa where I grew very quickly over my 4.5 years there. I always knew I wanted to be my own boss so in November 2019 I left and opened my spa studio. 2 years later I’m proud to say my business is extremely successful and I’m fully booked for the entire year!! Now I’ve taken on a “baby Esty“ as my apprentice to share all my knowledge with!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The biggest struggle I faced as a brand new Esthetician was building a clientele in a new city where I knew very few people. But my passion for skincare and helping people shined very bright so clients were drawn to me.

I’m very proud of my Instagram learning channel (@skinbysunni) where I share simple skincare tips and tricks! I really love using social media to educate people on their skin.
As someone who has struggled with breakouts and sensitive skin since 6th grade, I totally understand the frustrations of wanting healthy skin. Educating clients on their skin type, helping to improve your skin’s health/appearance and supporting your skincare journey is what I live for!
What sets me apart is providing therapy for your skin as well as your soul. You will feel empowered to embrace your natural beauty and have a better outlook of yourself and your life!

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Helping people is what makes me happy. I’ve always worked in customer service for this reason. Connecting with people on a deeper level and solving their problems really fills my cup. Seeing the smile on their face is so rewarding. Witnessing their confidence grow as we work together never gets old. I love helping people see how beautiful they are and feel more comfortable in their own skin. Basically helping others feel good makes me feel good!
