Hi Felicia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
After going thru many years and countless doctor visits that always led to new medications for various illnesses, and overall poor health, most of them being with my female reproductive system; I began to look for alternative more natural ways to help some the medical problems I had been facing. In 2019 an old acquaintance mentioned “yoni steam” to me, I was completely clueless but decided to further research exactly what it was how it worked and all the benefits that came with it. After briefly researching things originally, I decided to test things out on myself which led me to becoming instantly hooked on learning as much as I possibly could and decided to take courses to become a licensed yoni steam practitioner. Going in my goal has always been to help as many women as I possibly can that were dealing with some of the things I use to deal with and beyond.
For the first year after gaining my yoni steam license, I would travel to different women’s home and do their steam there. Soon after I decided to take a leap of faith and became dedicated to not only spread the amazing benefits of yoni steam to as many women as I possibly could but to also create a judgment-free, safe, welcoming, and pampering space for all to come and for even just a moment let go of all their life stressors and worries while naturally catering to their yoni and their overall being.
In July of 2021, I opened my very first Yoni Steam Wellness Center located in the Dayton’s bluff area of St Paul MN. Since opening my yoni steam wellness center, I’ve been able to help even more women with many concerns they were having and also looking for a natural approach instead of various medications also women who are just needing an affordable place to feel peace and be pampered.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Becoming a full-time entrepreneur was a struggle by itself, opening my wellness center I faced many many obstacles from signing my lease to paying out of pocket for everything dead smack in the middle of a worldwide pandemic. With every obstacle I faced and night I spent crying my eyes out I made sure to keep my purpose in the front of my mind and became unstoppable.
With Yoni Steams, there is a special seat you use to properly perform one, after researching the cost I got blown away but not discouraged. I decided I would cut the cost and move forward with hand building the things I was capable of and not give up, so that’s exactly what I did, I hand built all of my yoni steam seats as well as most of the fixtures that are in my center now. Then there was marketing, I’ve never been a pro at marketing but over the last year, I have learned many ways of marketing even came up with most on my own and it has been a plus that I’m a people person so speaking to anyone was never a problem, especially because I am extremely passionate about what I do and I wholeheartedly believe in what I do as well as the benefits behind it.
We’ve been impressed with Yoni Treats Wellness Center, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My center was opened to give women a safe, peaceful, judgment-free, welcoming space for all women to come experience the amazing results that comes with yoni steaming while also learning how to naturally cater to their most sacred space beyond a personal session at my center. My center was also created for women to do what us as women rarely do and that’s just to relax, escape, take a real break from whatever life stressors and worries they may have as well as to be pampered/ catered to at an affordable price. I also have various packages at my center where you can enjoy the experience with some of your close friends and family as well as your partner.
Many people don’t know but yes men can steam as well and have their own set of benefits which is called “Joni Steam”. I also offer full body detox which is 45 minutes of sitting inside of one of my detoxing units while organic herbs that are activated with steam penetrate through one’s whole body assisting in removing toxins, relax tight muscles, helps with weight loss, and a list of other wonderful benefits. For 45 minutes everyone has the option to listen to their favorite music though I highly recommend positive affirmations during that time while they are detoxing under candle lots of just light and complete privacy and peace. I am known for helping women with their concerns as well as creating lifelong memories while helping them on their journey of the many avenues of natural care mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. I wouldn’t necessarily say I’m set aside from anyone necessarily; I am just extremely committed to sharing the wonderful results in which I experience as well as many other women who have come to me as well as really making sure that my focus is completely on everyone that walks through my door making sure they know they have entered a judgment-free zone and my attention will remain completely on them during their time there and beyond if needed. I am passionate about my business and practice but I’m even more compassionate about everyone well- being in general in all aspects.
I often use most of my business profit to give back to my community by doing free community giveaways, offering overwhelmed mothers a chance to relax free of charge when I can, gather any resources I can to have available for anyone that comes into my center or I come in contact with that could use the resources to help them and their family.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
In the next 5-10 years, I see myself extending my small business by opening at least 2-3 more Yoni Treats Wellness Centers, adding more services that will help promote healthy living, self care, while continuing to spread knowledge about the benefits of yoni steaming itself, the benefits of using organic yoni care products from Yoni Treats Wellness Centers, promote the importance of self care, self love, and also the importance of having an emotional and spiritual health balance.
