Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Hasley.
Hi Rachel, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I have a 4-year degree in graphic design and my husband (Aaron) enjoys photography so we decided to start a company focusing on photography and graphic design. We have grown over the past 10 years, both in experience and workload. We are constantly looking for the next innovation in photography and design to give our customers the best quality and photo experience possible.
Our next big chapter is to open a wedding venue with an emphasis on photography. We have been to many beautiful wedding venues over the past ten years but the thing that many lack is forethought for pictures. We believe this to be one of the more important pieces for a wedding as pictures are what you will look back on years in the future.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We have definitely had our bumps along the way when we had to start out with lesser (cheaper) camera equipment and still be able to produce quality photos. As we have grown and done more business we have been able to buy better camera equipment which has helped to produce better quality photos that require less editing. We have also run into many obstacles trying to build our wedding venue. Whether that obstacle was finding land or once we found said land getting government approval to build and operate a wedding venue. We are closing in on purchasing a beautiful wedding venue that we can take even further with our focus on photography (That is if everything goes well with all the purchase agreements).
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
There are many photographers in our area that customers can choose from. I believe what sets us apart is our personalities and how we make the photos about the client and not us. Almost every wedding we shoot we get so many compliments on how good we are doing, which we find a little funny since no one at that point has seen the photos, but it’s because we make the day fun and enjoyable. We also provide top-end graphic design work on our photos which most photographers do not include or have the know-how. Plus, we offer very flexible and affordable packages for weddings to family shoots.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
We have been working on creating a vendor page on our website for collaboration. It is currently in the works but if more vendors would like to collaborate they can reach out to us and we can add them to our list of vendors and vice versa.
