Hi Samantha, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hey! My name is Samantha Kleven, and I am a 20-year-old professional wedding photographer! I started exploring the photography world when I was 12 years old, and I have worked so hard to be where I am today. I love to travel the world and capture couples who not only are obsessed with each other but also are obsessed with the world. I have not only invested in myself through mentorships, college, and gear, but have spent countless hours talking, working, and shooting so many couples! Now, I am a full-time destination wedding photographer traveling the world each summer!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Throughout the way, I have come up with financial problems, unhealthy relationships, and even bridezillas. However, I continue to push forward because I love what I do more than anything.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am known for my vivid, authentic, and bubbly destination wedding photos! I work with some of the most amazing couples who not only make me laugh throughout their special day, but we become best friends afterward. My heart goes out to the couples who want to work with me because it is not just a photoshoot but an experience.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
Minnesota is one of the best places to start a business! There are so many opportunities to grow and expand out into the rest of the world! I started in a small town an hour away from the cities, but I wish I lived closer!
