Community Highlights: Meet Andrea Gharritt of The Bold Life Design

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Gharritt.

Hi Andrea, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
When I first started my practice as a dietitian, my work with clients focused primarily, as you would expect, on their nutrition. Over the years, I realized, relationships with food & body are never actually about food and body. They are about worthiness and letting go of habits, beliefs & mindsets that keep a person small. For women especially, food & our bodies have been weaponized against us. “Fixing problems” around food & body distract us from our purpose and prevents us from taking up space, from making change. Not feeling good/small/pretty/healthy/fit/lean enough keeps us playing our lives small.

It was this Knowing that led me down a path of personal exploration around my own relationship with food, my body, and my purpose. With some additional training – a Life Coach Certification & an Intuitive Eating Counselor Certification – and after 10 years of practice, I am honored to support women as they get to the root of their fear, perfectionism, and insecurity and step into their worthiness, owning their story.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Moving in the direction of your purpose is never without it’s challenges. Whenever you are doing something new, big, or outside of convention, the usual players show up…”Hello, Imposter Syndrome & hello Inner Critic!”

Shifting from leading with Dietitian first to Success Coach first has stirred up both of these within me. I am grateful to the self that got to know these two very closely over the years. We are well acquainted. They can now show up without paralyzing me with fear or doubt. Now I see them coming from a mile away and I say, “Hey, I knew you’d be here. I pulled up a chair for you. Let’s chat about some ground rules, okay?”

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At The Bold Life Design, or The BLD, we work with two populations: 1- Coaching high achieving, action-biased women who want to let go of all the thoughts & behaviors keeping them playing small so they can truly step into their power, own their story, and go after their Big, Audacious Goals both one-on-one and in group settings.

2- Coaching & consulting with organizations wanting to foster a culture of bold, compassionate leadership by supporting their employee’s humanity and values-based growth & development.

Regardless of the client, we bring humor & heat to all partnerships by offering impactful, playful & honest coaching that energizes people’s lives by asking deep questions to cultivate real and meaningful change. We use Design Thinking as a framework to stop “shoulding all over yourself” and make change feel sustainable. And above all, we take a collaborative, whole-person values-driven approach. It’s not our agenda. It’s yours.

Our brand is bright, bold & playful. This might be the most important thing you do for yourself but we are certain if doesn’t need to feel heavy & dark. There is an energy and a lightness that comes from taking charge of one’s own life & worthiness. We want to help you find the abundance in all that you are creating AND the humor in your/our humanity along the way.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can find us at www.thebld.com and schedule a complimentary coaching session to learn more about my coaching approach, programming, and to see if we are the right fit. It is important that both the client & coach have a really great experience and this conversation is a no pressure way for us to feel that out.

They can follow along @thebld and for any collaboration inquiries, reach me at hello@thebld.com.
