Inspiring Conversations with Jamie Grey of Rolling With My Gnomies

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamie Grey.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Growing up in a Norwegian household, owner Jamie was surrounded by Tomtes or the Norweigen Gnomes. When she and co-owner Beth met they combined their love for these loveable creatures and wanted to share the joy with everyone!

Woman-owned and operated out of Minneapolis, MN this team has dedicated their time and energy to create a unique and high-quality selection of Gnomes for you to choose from! We have seen so many on the market that are low quality and high price. We want our gnomes to be a work of art and import as well as make gnomes!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When we first decided to do this I think the hardest part was the initial investment and cost for the website as well as advertising to get our name out there. Many people shop on price and we knew we wanted to gain an audience that was focused on quality and supporting a small business.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Rolling With My Gnomies?
We are a small women-owned business that does a happy dance every time someone orders. We bring in high-quality gnomes from around the world as well as other accents for the home, all gnome-related. We are proud to also make our own gnomes in-house for custom orders! Co-owner Beth is the one who makes these gnomes come alive. These days it is really important to support small businesses and we are happy to be a part of that community.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
