Today we’d like to introduce you to Jida Sheikh Amin.
Hi Jida, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We moved here from Dubai 2 months ago with my husband’s job. It’s a huge change and we were definitely shocked by how cold Minnesota is! It was the first time my kids had seen snow!
Relocating to a new country is both scary and exciting but I’m determined to make this new journey a happy and memorable one.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was a challenge to move in the middle of the year and find a school for my girls, a home and just overall getting anything done with all the snowstorms and freezing temperatures outside.
We somehow managed to do all that with the help of friendly and helpful Minnesotans.
Now that we have settled in we are exploring what the city has to offer and I can’t wait for summer to truly experience the beauty of Minnesota!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I work in Digital Marketing and Social Media but I’m currently taking a break until we are fully settled in and my littlest one goes to school full time.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
My kids. Seeing them happy is what makes my day. They are my number one priority and source of joy and happiness.
