Community Highlights: Meet Jasna Burza of Jasna Burza Coaching

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasna Burza.

Hi Jasna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
At the age of nine, war broke out in my native country of Bosnia and I found myself in a refugee camp and a father in a concentration camp. This experience taught me about the strength of the human spirit.

I learned early on that every challenge and experience, whether good or bad, is an opportunity to grow and learn.

I came to the US for undergrad and grad school, met my husband and fell in love with Minnesota. Like most young people, I found myself in the corporate world but something was missing.I lived the so-called American dream only to discover that Manolo Blahniks and Gucci handbags didn’t lead to a life of fulfillment.

Educational and professional accomplishments are meaningless if we are not true to our authentic self. True happiness is when our values are in alignment with our goals and vision for the future.

After series of miscarriages, I begun to reevaluate my life and through loss,I learned about authentic truth and what matters most. I went back to grad school for professional coaching and I never looked back.

I was born to inspire those with a dream.

Many of us settle into the daily grind of everyday life while our passions remain locked away in a drawer.

My specialty is helping clients find their passion and reigniting the dream they have kept hidden for many years. My clients consist of executives, business owners, coaches, moms, artists, entrepreneurs and solopreneurs.

I attended Adler Graduate School for my coaching degree and I hold a Master in Public Policy from the University of Minnesota. As a sought-after inspirational speaker, I teach and inspire others to recreate themselves in order to live a happy and healthy life. This is now my mission in life and I feel like the luckiest woman alive.

Even now, we live in such complicated times but I believe that best is yet to come!

Here’s also a piece that WCCO did on me if it’s helpful. https://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2016/03/08/minnesotan-to-meet-jasna-burza/

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I lived through war in 1990s during the war in former Yugoslavia. My father was in a concentration camp and the rest of us were sent to a refugee camp. Growing up was tough but now I see it as a gift: I am more empathetic, resilient and hopeful. Even with this war in Ukraine – I feel the pain of those people but I also believe in the good.

In my later life, infertility rocked my world due to stress in the corporate world and yet – it forced me to focus on life’s true meaning and forced me to reevaluate what matters.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am an internationally-recognized Life and Business Coach passionate about helping people thrive in their lives and businesses. I regularly appear on TV as lifestyle expert and coach some of the top CEOs.

What sets me apart the most is that I care, I lead with LOVE even though I am a businesswoman and love all things business. My reputation precedes me, I have incredible results with clients and I feel like I make this world just a little bit better.

I work with CEOs, visionaries and entrepreneurs – people with a dream who need someone to ensure they make it happen. I also run the largest Mastermind for female entrepreneurs in Minneapolis.

How do you think about luck?
I don’t know if I would call it luck…..my work would probably be a “blessing”. I feel like we create our own luck and blessings through expectation, good deeds and actions. Of course, I have had plenty of luck…….opportunities that came out of nowhere and people who supported me….but I also believe in having a hopeful outlook, prayer, visualization and doing good with a joyful heart – Universe wants to support me, I know that!
