Today we’d like to introduce you to Ricardo Lucas Assencao Luiz.
Hi Ricardo, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am Brazilian, born in the city of Paranagua, Southern Brazil. I have a large family, they are very united and support me in all my choices, including my decision to move to the United States, But I didn’t decide to move to the USA overnight, it was a process that went through for years I was even starting my professional career. In 2019 I graduated as a flight attendant in Brazil and had plans to start my career. In the meantime, I met my partner in the USA. We started to get to know each other better for a while, until the covid pandemic started, in which I had to return to Brazil, and everything was complicated during that time. I had to pause the process to start working as a flight attendant because of the lockdown and I stayed in Brazil for a while until things got better. Even so, I stayed connected with my partner and decided to return to the USA after 1 year in Brazil. I finally went to the US, and after a few months, we decided to get engaged and get married. Today we are very happy, living in California and soon I will start doing what I love most, starting my process as a flight attendant in the USA.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
During the pandemic, it was very difficult because I had to make big and choose and pause my professional area.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I graduated as a flight attendant, and soon I will start flying, but in the meantime, I study to learn and have more knowledge, I love the internet and my social media, I have it as a ”hobby” and not a job, but who knows in the future I can work with the internet and generate content for people who can be inspired by me.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
The family is what matters most, it’s the people who will support you in any decision in your life, I’ve had experience with that.
