Hi Aaron and Elizabeth, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We started 4 Girls Glamour 10 years ago with the vision to encourage and empower all women. We had already started our photography business but were photographing seniors, weddings, and newborns. Elizabeth was taking some classes online when she learned about women empowerment and how boudoir helps women. It was then that Elizabeth found her passion, encouraging and uplifting women! We have 4 daughters and we want to teach them that no matter what shape or size you are your body doesn’t define you. All women are beautiful! So we started our boudoir photography journey.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not been a smooth road! We have struggled financially. To get our business started and running we both had to work 2 jobs for 8 years. With 5 kids that was very hard. We struggled with studio space. We started photographing in our small home, then moved to a shared studio space, then finally to our own space. We also have struggled with friends and family understanding the what and why of photographing boudoir. Minnesota is a very conservative state and has not been very accepting of boudoir, some even say we photograph porn. Our road has been very bumpy!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We are a husband and wife photography team. We specialize in boudoir photography. We are known for creating a comfortable space for women to feel sexy and empowered. We are proud of our ability to show women how truly beautiful they are. Our friendliness, openness, and honesty sets us apart.
