Today we’d like to introduce you to Mary Newstrom. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Mary is a dynamic healer and teacher. In 1982, her Spirit Guide, Zenith, first visited her. Shortly after his visit, she started down the path of a healer. Zenith continues to have a strong presence in Mary’s life, but she has had many other Spirit Guides join her. Complementing her Shamanic training, she is also a Reiki Master Teacher.
Under the guidance of Loui Pieper in 1999, she started studying shamanism. She has been trained as a Shamanic leader by teachers such as Sandra Ingerman and Betsy Bergstrom. In addition, she spends time in Peru studying with the Shibibo shamans in the Amazon jungle. She takes annual trips to Peru to continue to work with them and takes small intimate groups with her so others can be exposed to the magic of shamanism. Carved out of the time in the jungle, Mary got the inspiration to create Spirit Flow ~ shamanic study programs. Spirit Flow is a multiple-year program that allows someone to be trained and go deep with a nature-based spirituality such as shamanism.
Mary’s journey as a healer and teacher intensified as she struggled with life-crippling illnesses. Between 2004 and 2010, she was rocked to the core. Lower back surgery, a neck fusion, and stage 2 breast cancer made her lean closer to her faith, and the spirit guides around her. Out of those tests, she gained strength and perseverance and an understanding of how to accept oneself where they are in the process of living. Mary uses the healing energy of the Divine to be of service to individuals and assist them.
Dr. Newstrom holds a graduate degree in psychology and is certified in health and wellness consultation. Her commitment to the environment, animals, and the world is reflected in her work, impacting policy and producing results that improve the lives of millions of people in the United States. She’s held corporate jobs, winning numerous awards as a top producer in education. As a recognized leader in creating positive change in the community, she taught at the collegiate level, impacting students to go into the world and make a difference.
She strives to build a better world with her drive to bring shamanic teachings to people in an easy-to-understand way that allows the concepts to be applied in the modern world. Based out of the Minneapolis, Minnesota area, she travels extensively, partnering with other visionary leaders in the field to deliver a powerful shamanic experience.

The lesson learned through Covid- 19 is to treat everyone with compassion because you do not know what struggles or experiences they have overcome. As people seemed to be divided at times, if approached with compassion we can all get along.
