Meet Amiee Elizabeth of Minneapolis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amiee Elizabeth.

Hi Amiee, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
“There has to be more than this.”

Like most of my clients, the time came when I began to sense a divide between what I had always believed was real and my felt experience of what was true. A small voice whispered inside, insisting that there must be more to me and my life than what was being expressed. This culminated in the life-changing moment when I finally softened, opened up, and listened. What I discovered shifted everything.

There are several places where sharing my personal story could begin. My healing journey includes the teachers who supported me, the discoveries I made, the doors I opened, how my gifts were revealed, and how they changed my life. There is the story of how I made the leap from using my intuitive gifts to heal myself to opening a business that is focused on creating profound healing in the lives of others. There is the story of how each of the practices and healing skills I use revealed themselves to me and were integrated into my unique healing practice. There is the story of how I became a Change Maker and began working with other Change Makers who were ready to step into their sovereignty by exploring their growth edges.

But, let’s begin my story this way. Once upon a time, while I was working in corporate finance, I had the realization that I was just feeding the machine and it was my soul being consumed. It was then that I made my leap out of the spiritual closet and decided to move toward a healing profession. I quit my job and went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from the massage therapy program at Northwestern Health Sciences University.

I started my practice during the 2008 recession focusing on massage therapy. I subsidized my new business income by working as a personal care assistant. I worked crazy-long hours while expanding and deepening my spiritual knowledge. I remain wrapped in studies of shamanism (Munkay-Ki, Toltec, and Egyptian lineages), spirituality, astrology, archetypes, tantra, myth, legend, and the Akashic Records. Learning is a passion for me, and the ability to follow where my soul is leading became my norm.

My approach and the focus of my business have changed over the years. I began offering massage therapy and later added deeper healing modalities. Such as craniosacral therapy and Somatoemotional Release Therapy. Craniosacral therapy uses the pulse of the cerebrospinal fluid to find places of restriction or compensation within the physical body that need to be released. Somatoemotional release addresses those same restrictions and compensations to free the stuck energy. As I have integrated my learning into my healing practice, I have shifted to working intuitively, leaving behind the formulaic and working in the energies uniquely suited to each client.

We’d love to learn more about your work now. What kinds of services do you offer your clients?
These days, my business, AE Body Alchemy, is successful healing and bodywork practice with studio space in the South Minneapolis Ivy Building for the Arts. I also regularly host one-day workshops and VIP four-day women’s retreats at a gorgeous, 900-acre property in Southeastern Minnesota. I am a certified Sundoor firewalking instructor and offer regular firewalking opportunities. I also plan to host glass walking events sometime in 2023. In addition to my in-person work, I offer online astrology readings and healing work to clients in the U.S. and other English-speaking countries. In my Journey Inward program, I guide clients through the study of archetypal energies and help them cast their Sacred Contract. I facilitate an online women’s circle for Change Makers on their journey of sovereignty reclamation. I also co-host the “Rooted Cosmic Wisdom” podcast with my friend, Alexis Bolvin.

What are the foundational belief structures of your work?
I developed a way of working with people somatically by integrating what I view as “The Five Bodies:” Spirit, Energy, Emotion, Mental and Physical. The Emotional Body is our feeling self – the sad, mad, glad, scared self, housed in the heart space. The Mental Body is our head space and is often considered the “safest” space – the seat of the cold, logical self. The Energy Body is a quantum self, an understanding of the electrical self that animates the Physical Body (or what you will often hear me refer to as “the meat suit”). The Spiritual Body is that connection to the deep inner wisdom and the force outside us that is huge, all-knowing, and has our back. It is the integration of the Five Bodies that creates such intense change for my clients.

Years after I started my business as a massage therapist, I was introduced to the story of the Goddess Hygiea and her principle that healing needs to be approached by looking at all the parts as a whole system of well-being. By this time, I had been speaking about and teaching my clients about integrating the Five Bodies for years. It was beautifully affirming and helped me see the purpose of my journey, which opened me further to this deep, inherent wisdom. Being supported by the Universe to share wisdom with my clients has been a gift beyond words; witnessing the freedom and expansion they find humbles me.

What sets your healing practice apart from others?
I am expansive and don’t think in the “linear space and time” way in which our collective existence is set up to function. I am a symbolic and poetic thinker, which allows me to see and work with the micro and macro experiences of my clients’ lives. And I have built a bodywork business centered around helping people learn to trust the messages of their own amazing, wise physical bodies and helping people heal themselves from within.

What are you known for?
It can be difficult to give a concise synopsis of my work because it is customized to each client based on their needs and where they are in their journey.

Some of the comments my clients have shared about me include:
~I never reveal the wound without showing the medicine.
~I create integrative, supportive experiences that facilitate exponential growth on all levels.
~I am generous and non-judgmental, in deep alignment with essence, and I am brave, fierce and
patient.
~I support building internal structures that my clients can take into the world with strength and
grounding.
~My clients leave my events feeling freer to embrace the mystery and magic of their lives.

And, finally, what are you most proud of?
My ability to trust myself and the depth and breadth of my capacity to help guide people towards healing and wholeness.
