Check Out Ethan Esparza’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ethan Esparza.

Hi Ethan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I Have lived in Minnesota my whole life. From a young age, my parents always taught me that if you want something, you must work for it. When I turned 8, I opened up a lemonade stand wearing a suit. It made a few thousand dollars within a few years. Those skills impressed on me the want to own my own business. At the same time, I was finding something that could balance my volunteer work as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. It took me a few years to figure out what I wanted and how to do it. There was a lot of trial and error, but a few years ago, I started a position for a real estate company calling cold leads. And I realized if I could harness this model for one company, I could do it for multiple. Henceforth the birth of NLT.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, not by any means. I started this business literally within my closet in my studio apartment. I didn’t know how to find clients, and frankly, when I left my job, I wasn’t sure if this would work. I would have to wake up at 4 AM for three months to build up a list of clients. I got probably 200 “No” are the first couple of months. But then things started getting better, processes started getting into place, and now it is working. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not perfect, but each day we always find ways to improve at what we do.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We nurture real estate CRMs. Finding potential buyers and sellers, then get them connected with a realtor to help them with that home search or home selling process. And we don’t just call them once and say, “Oh, we tried” we call them as much as we need to decipher what they are looking at doing. And starting August 1st, we will introduce the ability to nurture Solar Panel Leads.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those just starting?
Embrace the hard days because those are what make the best building blocks for any business idea that you may have. It’s not easy to do that, but after some time has passed, you look back you say, “you know what, that was tough. I didn’t know what would happen” They push you to be a better business owner, boss, and individual in general. Patience That is what is key. We live in a world where we want immediate satisfaction but starting your own business doesn’t just happen overnight. It takes time. So, taking your time, building a process, and having patience when doing those things will help your business tremendously.
