Today we’d like to introduce you to Simmone Clock.
Hi Simmone, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
After getting my bachelor’s degree in interior design, I started my career in commercial design and eventually transitioned to residential, which reignited my passion. When the pandemic hit in 2020, I found myself jobless with few options. My husband encouraged me to start my own business and get my real estate license, and Homes by Simmone was born! The support I received was more than I ever expected, and I’ve been able to grow my business into something I never knew was possible. I now get to help my clients find and create the home of their dreams while living my dream.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a smooth road?
It was terrifying in the beginning. I had no idea how to run a business and was diving into real estate for the first time. There was a lot of trial and error, but I was always learning and committed to pulling this off. I had plenty of hard days where I second-guessed if I could have a profitable business and find people that wanted to work with me. But, staying true to myself, showing up, and doing my best have gotten me to where I am today.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Homes by Simmone is full-service interior design and real estate. I take on a variety of projects but specialize in remodels and new construction where there is a major transformation. The absolute best is when both worlds collide and I get to help my clients find the perfect home to renovate or design their new home from the very beginning. Then I get to be both the realtor and designer and am very involved in the whole process. Each project is different but I believe in having a comfortable and livable home without sacrificing timeless beauty, however that makes sense to you. I love connecting those dots. Home is everything to me and it is such an honor to be trusted with someone else’s home. I take great pride in learning about my clients and helping them reach their home goals!
Who else deserves credit in your story?
My husband, Spencer, is so supportive and believes in me more than anyone. There is no way Homes by Simmone would exist without him. I also have great people in my life who cheer me on and make me feel less like a solo-preneur. Word of mouth and referrals are huge, and I’m so thankful for anyone who has ever contributed to that. It takes an army!
