Rising Stars: Meet Christine Henne of Twin Cities

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christine Henne.

Hi Christine, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I am a Wisconsin girl at heart, but have been in the Twin Cities since 2007. I attended the University of Northwestern – Saint Paul and graduated with a bachelor’s in journalism. While in college, I enjoyed taking photography classes and soon found myself interested in starting my own business. I assisted a few weddings, offered several free portrait sessions, built a simple website and eventually turned my services to income.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a smooth road?
 Nothing is ever a smooth road, but I believe if you are stepping into what you were created to do, there should be an ease about it.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?

I am a wedding and family photographer based in Minnesota, but am always willing to travel. I will put my everything into your photo session from start to finish and do my absolute best to capture whatever is most important to you.

Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share? We’re always looking for lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis.
I am addicted to people! Covid-19 was awful for photographers. Easter 2020, I offered free “Front Step” photo sessions and spent eight hours driving between Wisconsin and Minnesota in a snow storm. I still needed to feel a connection with my clients. We weren’t made to do life alone!
