Heidi started her fine gardening company, Heidi’s Lifestyle Gardens, 40+ years ago when she was 17. It has continued to grow and bloom into today’s 5.5-acre Nursery and Garden Centre, GrowHaus. GrowHaus is the new iteration of a traditional garden center, a regenerative hub for growing, living & thriving. Our mainstream values include edible installations, water conservation, pollinator-friendly approaches, and functional solutions to landscape design with proper garden management. We also offer landscape design and installation services for discerning horticulturalists. Our homegrown business values the satisfaction of our customers & the health of our planet. Our nursery has 5 acres of thoughtfully selected annuals, perennials, herbs, veggies, shrubs, evergreens, fruit trees & more. Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We have experienced many blessings along the way, but those do not come without trials and tribulations. Finding an adequate footprint to operate the business from has been a perennial challenge. This culminated 6.5 years ago when we bought an existing 5.5-acre nursery and garden center that is blossoming into GrowHaus. We sold a 1-acre property with a pole building and used those proceeds as a down payment on our new property; We wrote a business plan, pitched our ideas to several banks, and ultimately received an SBA loan; The peaks don’t feel as remarkable without the valleys and the challenges.

If we knew you were growing up, how would we have described you?
I am a Leo and the youngest of 7, so I am driven, bold and curious. I was athletic and enjoyed many sports, including downhill skiing, golf, and pop tennis. We had a golden retriever, and my dog Dandelion is my constant companion.
