Conversations with Jessica Heuer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Heuer.

Hi Jessica, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
As a little girl, I always loved doing hair, “playing salon,” and making people feel beautiful. I decided beauty school was for me! The saying “find a job you love, and it won’t feel like work” That statement is so true! I love my job! I love making people feel great about themselves inside and out. I am so thankful to be a part of each client’s life. I love all the wonderful variety of conversations. I have learned so much about diversity with clients from all aspects of life over the years. I truly appreciate all those who have been in my chair. Making people confident in themselves is so rewarding. After their appointment, I turn them to the mirror to check themselves out. Their beaming smile is my reward for a job well done. I also have an on-site wedding business where we travel to their venue/place for hair and makeup. It’sIt’s a huge honor to be a part of one of the most important days of their lives. The energy in the room while we work is amazing! It’sIt’s a happy day for all, and being a part of that is pretty magical. I love the flexibility of the career as well. It allows me to succeed in my career and be a great mom and wife at home. It’sIt’s more than just doing hair. It’s giving confidence, being a shoulder to lean on, an ear to listen to, a support system, and becoming friends.

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Building a solid clientele can be a hard road, but oh so worth it! Having a wonderful, loyal group of clients is so heartwarming! I appreciate every single one of them!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I take a lot of pride in my work. I strive to make each person feel important to me. Their loyalty as a client is what makes me successful. My goal is to make them feel beautiful inside and out. I hope they trust me to continue that relationship as my client for many years.

We’dWe’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from growing up.
My favorite childhood memory is traveling to the North Shore of Minnesota. I still have a huge love for the shore. I have traveled there many times and now have gotten my husband and children to love it. We were married on the North Shore at Larsmont Cottages. It was a magical day! Now I have brought a part of my career there. I do on-site weddings along the North Shore. Doing something you love in a place you love is incredibly rewarding and enjoyable! I am living a dream!
