Hidden Gems: Meet Andrew Norris of Fold Coffee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Norris.

Hi Andrew, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In April of 2021, I was planning on going into a mission organization called YWAM (in Amsterdam) and leading up to me leaving I saved up enough money to go but as my time to leave was approaching, I ended up not going because of covid and the boarder did not open when they were expecting it to. After that, I was praying about what to do next and felt like this coffee company was the next move. Everything was falling into place and i ordered a machine and started brewing. We work with a coffee company in California that roasts for us and we are able to sell our coffee beans and donate 100% of the Profit From coffee beans to missions. (The coffee cart is for profit) There are two parts to the coffee company. Coffee cart which we offer an open coffee bar for weddings and events where the client pays a base price giving their invitees free Specialty coffee Drinks (Lattes, mochas, chai, etc..). The other side of the company is coffee bean sales in which we have 5 Specialty coffee offerings, three single-origin coffees (Ethiopia, Guatemala, and Costa Rica) and 2 Blends (Bellweather, and 4:8 Blend).

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Currently, an honest struggle is selling our coffee. We want to give to missions but are having a hard time selling coffee beans so trying to nail those sales down has been a little bit of a struggle.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Our motto is “Make good coffee, meet good people.” That is what we are striving to do. With every event that we work, we’re putting all of our effort to make your coffee experience the best it possibly can be. Lots of care and Precision into each drink. We also sell 5 amazing different specialty coffees.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
Albany has a cool small-town vibe Sometimes it smells like cheese…
