Today we’d like to introduce you to Studio Three.
Ladies, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
The five of us have been working together for many years at our previous salon. We knew we were going to have to make a move sooner or later and decided to go for it in the summer of 2022. We consider each other family and wanted to stick together on our new adventure. Our team consists of three stylists and two color specialists, meaning that we focus only on our specialty, so we definitely depend on each other.
We left our old salon with very little administrative or business knowledge, and have had a few bumps along the road. But together as a team, we have learned so much and succeeded in making a beautiful new home that we so enjoy pampering our clients! We love our new home and can’t thank our amazing clients and Sola for making our dreams come true!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We are a bunch of hairstylists who had no idea of how to start a business, so we did have quite a bit of learning to do. We all have different strengths, and so we delegated tasks accordingly. As a team, we grew and learned everything we needed to get our business started.
Because of how we specialize and wanted to stay together in a “salon environment” without owning our own building, that was also a challenge on its own. The Sola team was so great to work with. There were many different blueprints as we changed our minds and layouts multiple times to make this space work for us. We are so fortunate to have such great support from our family, friends, Sola, and clients to help us along the way.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Our team takes pride in making our clients feel “special and beautiful”.
We want to provide a one on one only experience with undivided attention to each client. We are stocked with many beverages, snacks, neck warmers, comfortable chairs and a team that will make you feel right at home.
Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
This was a huge risk for us. Financially, emotionally, and mentally, not to mention the stress for our clients. As women especially, I think we take comfort in stability and routine and change is sometimes scary at first.
To break free from our old salon was super scary, and I can’t stress enough how much we needed each other to get where we are today…and in the end so much happier!
