Exploring Life & Business with Ted and Heather LaFromboise of Nourish Nutrition

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ted and Heather LaFromboise.

Hi Ted and Heather, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Our experience with nutrition clubs started a little over 2 years ago when Teddy went into partnership with one of his mentors and together they opened their first nutrition club in Cottage Grove. For the first year, the focus was on building a community and learning the everyday operations of running a nutrition club. Between living a healthy active lifestyle and building a community Teddy started a community FitCamp class and that’s where the magic really began to take place. Although Teddy and I have known each other for over 4 years, it was the FitCamps that brought us together. At first, I was only participating in his classes, and after a few short months, we were presented with an opportunity to take over Nourish in Osseo. Being that I am an Osseo alumnus, we felt like we were being guided to a community that needed us. With very little hesitation, we accepted the offer and moved to the Osseo community in July of 2021. We now work together to provide healthy alternatives to people seeking better health and nutrition. We are actively involved in supporting many of the school sports and other local organizations and have been welcomed into the community with open arms. As we come up on our one-year Nourish birthday – as we like to call it, we are absolutely loving all of the energy, and every day we are grateful that we get to be a part of someone’s journey as they take a step towards living a healthier lifestyle.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The transition to Osseo was smooth, we made a decision and within 5 days we were ready to go, we even moved all the way across the cities just to be closer to Osseo, but – just like everything else in life, there are going to be struggles. We are small business owners in a small town. We pride ourselves on building relationships with the people we meet every day, and in a town of 3,000 – it takes a minute to get to know everyone! Winters can also be a hard time for everyone, and the store tends to slow down some during those months. However, during those downtimes, we are able to work together to brainstorm ways that we can add more value to the community around us.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a small town – local nutrition club. We specialize in providing healthy alternatives to help people live a healthier more well-balanced life. We are known not only for our amazing shakes and teas, but also for being the safe place for kids to come after school. In addition to the shakes, teas, and other goodies we make at the club, we are known for helping people lose weight, get fit, or just feel better in general. We are able to do this using one-on-one coaching and also with our monthly weight loss challenges. We also offer free wellness profiles and are always open to sit and talk with you about your health and wellness goals. We are also known for FitCamps of course and can’t wait to start a new series called “Ladies Night” on Wednesdays along with a Co-Ed Fitcamps that will be running on Saturday mornings.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
We are open Monday through Friday from 7am-5pm and Saturday from 9-1. You can find us on Facebook at Nourish Nutrition Club or on Instagram @NourishOsseo
