Today we’d like to introduce you to Miki Orr Campbell.
Hi Miki, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey into the spiritual and metaphysical world began unexpectedly around 2007–2008. A friend invited me to see a psychic, and during that session, she told me I should consider joining her psychic development classes. I laughed and replied, “I don’t think so—I’m not psychic.” But Spirit had other plans. The seed was planted, and the thought wouldn’t leave me. Eventually, I followed that inner voice and decided to give it a try.
I discovered my gifts at Sunset Spiritualist Church and Camp in Wells, Kansas—the oldest Spiritualist church in the nation, founded in the early 1890s. There, I learned traditional mediumship and the foundational principles of psychic development.
Zensational was born around 2008–2009 when a friend and I began meeting on Saturday afternoons for what we called “Psychic Saturday.” While we were developing our abilities, I received a message from Spirit during one of our meditations to ask my friend to channel. Through that channeling session, Spirit guided us to create sprays for the chakras using crystals, essential oils, and Reiki energy.
What began as a single inspired idea grew into a business and a complete chakra set and several other energy therapy sprays. Spirit even gave us the name Zensational. We took our creations on the road, traveling to spirit, mind, and body fairs across Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri—and soon expanded to include crystals alongside our sprays.
Each year, Sunset Spiritualist Church hosts a one- to two-week camp where people gather for classes, healing sessions, readings, and fellowship. In 2010, I was invited to step in as a reader after another medium had to cancel. That moment was life-changing—it was when I knew I had found what I was truly meant to do when I “grew up,” and it just so happened I was in my mid forties when I realized it.
After my business partner transitioned to other ventures later that year, I assumed sole ownership and have continued to develop Zensational into its current state. In 2016, I relocated back to my hometown Faribault, Minnesota, where I established an office in the downtown area. Presently, I provide services including psychic readings, past life regression hypnosis known at QHHT, Reiki, and vibrational sound therapy using singing bowls and tuning forks.
Zensational has become more than just a business—it’s a space for healing, awakening, and alignment. It’s where people come to reconnect with their energy, find clarity, and remember the peace that’s always within them. I always ask Spirit to send me those that I can help.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road hasn’t always been smooth—but it’s been filled with purpose, growth, and a deep faith in Spirit.
In the early years, I worked a full-time “real job” while nurturing Zensational on evenings and weekends. I spent many weekends traveling the spirit, mind, and body fair circuit across Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma—often running on little sleep but fueled by a few extra bucks and a sense of purpose. Balancing it all wasn’t easy, but I did what I needed to do.
One of the biggest challenges on my journey was realizing that I had to leave behind a life and marriage that no longer fit who I was becoming. My path as a psychic and healer wasn’t something that was understood or supported.
As a one-person business, I’ve worn every hat imaginable—creator, bookkeeper, web designer, social media manager, marketer, scheduler, and more. Over the years, I’ve taught myself how to build and maintain my own website, learned the ins and outs of search engine optimization, and even begun exploring AI tools and algorithms to keep up with the ever-changing digital landscape. Each new skill has made me more resourceful and resilient.
There have been plenty of external challenges too—road construction projects that blocked access to my office on 3 separate occasions, the uncertainty of COVID, and economic downturns that made it hard for people to afford self-care services. And as local newspapers fade away, I’ve had to continually adapt and find new ways to reach clients in an increasingly online world.
Another challenge has been to be taken seriously as a legitimate business owner in the psychic and metaphysical field. There’s still a lot of misunderstanding about what I do, and not everyone sees energy work and intuitive guidance as professional, ethical, or valuable. I’ve worked hard to show that my business operates with the same dedication, structure, and professionalism as any other—rooted in integrity, compassion, and years of training and experience.
But through every obstacle, I’ve gained strength, creativity, and faith. This journey has taught me that success isn’t about having a smooth road—it’s about learning to navigate the bumps with grace, determination, and an unshakable understanding that Spirit is never late, but always on time, and my time is just around the corner.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the authenticity and evolution of Zensational. It began as a spark of Spirit-guided inspiration and has grown into a trusted space for holistic transformation. My focus has always been on integrity, compassion, and helping people align with their highest potential.
At its core, Zensational is about remembering that peace isn’t something we chase—it’s something we awaken within ourselves. My tag line- May today there be peace within.

I grew up in Faribault, and after years of living and building my career elsewhere, returning in 2016 felt like coming full circle. This community holds a special place in my heart—it’s where my roots are, and it’s where I continue to grow both personally and professionally.
Over the years, I’ve been proud to serve on the Faribault Main Street Board and the Faribault Tourism Commission, helping to support the vitality and spirit of our town. Being involved in the community that raised me has been incredibly fulfilling, and I’m honored to contribute to its growth and positive energy.
On a personal note, life has a beautiful way of bringing things back around. I reconnected with my childhood neighbor and best friend, Max, and in 2020 we were married. It’s been such a blessing to share this chapter of my life with someone who has known me since I was 3 years old.
I truly love living here again. There’s something special about the people, the history, and the sense of connection in Faribault. It’s the perfect backdrop for the kind of healing and spiritual work I do—grounded, authentic, and heart-centered.
