We recently had the chance to connect with Emily Luckow and have shared our conversation below.
Emily, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
The impact a person can have with students they work with. You build these fun, silly, relationships with them through out the year. It’s very rewarding.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Emily Luckow, I live in Northern MN. During the work week I’m a Teacher Aide at one of our local schools. I truly enjoy working with my coworkers & kids. I get off early enough or have breaks from school, where I can go to find new explore spots or get updated shots in different seasons, or the natural decay process update. Photography & documenting history by capturing these relics has become a very important hobby to me. One day I hope my brand can sustain itself. Till then, I do it as a stress reliever. Or I like challenging myself by seeing what new photographs I can take.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My Folks always knew my potential. My Dad never got to see my vision, but I knew he would have loved my ideas. My Mom started with me as a scout & she enjoyed seeing it grow.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Never give up. Keep trying. If at first you don’t succeed, try try again. All the usual clichés. But it’s true. How many times through life do we want to give up. Too many to count. Always keep the faith that one day you’ll be where you want to be, Just keep believing there is something more waiting for you. And you will gain the knowledge you need to get you to your life path.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely. I’m not an actress of any sort, so you get me as I am.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
When I know I have all my ducks in a row, even for a short time.
