Hi Johnathan , thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me is getting up and going to work.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Johnathan Brown, 43 years old, born in Atlanta, but raised in Port Arthur, Texas. I currently reside in Minneapolis, MN; which I have been here for 10 years. I am the founder of ” Just Beautiful Clothing”, which was launched in 2017. ” Just Beautiful” was inspired by my Mother, whom passed away in 2001. I always use to hear people at my young age say how beautiful my mother was. I just felt compelled to start a brand for women to wear clothing pieces that uplifts and make them feel confident. I know it’s a diverse game changer for me as a man creating a women’s clothing line. I just want to keep focusing and expanding with this brand.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My relationship with my Dad. He is part of how I see myself as well as my mother. I have a balance. My Dad give me the determination of getting things handled as a man. My mother gave me the way of a good heart.
When did you last change your mind about something important?
About 2 years ago, My dad was always putting hints out about moving back to Arkansas to be closer to him. He is getting older and he wanted me to be close to help with his house that was getting renovated. It was heavy on my heart because my dad inquired my help, but my heart is Minnesota. We did come to an agreement about commute dates.
