An Inspired Chat with Omid Mousaei of Bloomington

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Omid Mousaei. Check out our conversation below.

Omid, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
One common misunderstanding about Mad Mind Studios is that we’re “just a design agency” or that we only focus on the visual side of branding. In reality, we’re a full-scale strategic partner for businesses blending creative design, digital marketing, SEO, and brand strategy under one roof. Our goal isn’t just to make things look good, but to help businesses grow, stand out in competitive markets, and connect meaningfully with their audiences.

Another misconception is that custom design means “expensive” or “slow.” We’re highly efficient and flexible with our approach. We adapt to the client’s needs, timelines, and budgets without sacrificing quality or originality. We don’t use templates or cookie-cutter solutions; every project is rooted in strategy and tailored creativity. That level of thought and customization sometimes goes unnoticed until clients experience the results firsthand.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Omid Mousaei, and I’m the founder of Mad Mind Studios, a creative branding and digital marketing agency. We specialize in building custom strategies for businesses that want to grow their online presence through branding, web design, SEO, and digital Google Ads campaigns. What sets us apart is our hands-on approach. We treat every brand as if it were our own. That means no shortcuts, just thoughtful, tailored solutions that are built to drive results.

Our agency has worked with clients ranging from startups to global names like Netflix and Louis Vuitton, but we take the most pride in helping passionate entrepreneurs turn their ideas into successful, scalable brands.

Right now, we’re focused on expanding our services to support businesses in food, wellness, law, and e-commerce industries where we’ve seen incredible traction. Whether it’s designing a high-converting website, creating standout packaging, or running data-driven ad campaigns, our goal is simple: help our clients grow with clarity, creativity, and consistency.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
At the core, what breaks bonds between people is often a lack of communication, trust, or empathy. When individuals stop listening, assume the worst, or let ego get in the way, relationships -whether personal or professional- begin to erode. Misunderstandings fester when they’re not addressed, and small issues can grow into larger divides when people don’t feel heard or respected.

On the other hand, what restores those bonds is vulnerability, accountability, and a willingness to show up with an open mind. Whether it’s between coworkers, clients, or communities, bonds are rebuilt when people are honest about where things went wrong and intentional about making things right. Real connection happens when there’s mutual respect and a shared goal to understand each other, not just to be right.

In business, I’ve learned that the strongest partnerships are built not just on deliverables, but on trust, clear communication, and consistent effort.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
You don’t have to have it all figured out. Just keep working hard, showing up, and trust the process.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
Keanu Reeves is someone I deeply admire, not because of his fame or success, but because of his character. In an industry that often prioritizes ego and image, he’s remained grounded, humble, and kind.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I’d stop worrying about things I can’t control, and about outcomes that haven’t even happened yet. Worry has a way of stealing your energy, creativity, and joy. It creates mental roadblocks that don’t exist in reality.
