Hi Aastha, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi my name is Aastha Patel, my journey into photography started with a simple curiosity and a love for capturing authentic moments in high school. What began as a creative hobby quickly turned into a passion as I realized the power a single image has to tell a story and preserve memories. Over the years, I’ve continued to grow by learning, practicing, and pushing myself creatively, by buying my first camera and doing classes at my university. Every session has helped shape my style and taught me something new, not just about photography, but about connecting with people. Today, I’m grateful to do what I been creating timeless images that reflect genuine emotions, personalities, and meaningful moments. My goal has always been to give people photographs they’ll cherish for years to come.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve faced challenges such as building a client base, and slowly starting my own photography business, learning the business side of photography, and balancing creativity with business. There have also been moments of self-doubt and the pressure to constantly improve in my work.
Those experiences have made me more resilient and intentional in my work. Every challenge has been an opportunity to learn, and better serve my clients. Looking back, I’m grateful for the journey because it’s helped shape not only the photographer I am today but also the way I connect with the people I photograph.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in creating in portraits that capture real emotion and meaningful connections. I do After Parties and create college memories through those times, Whether I’m photographing families, couples, seniors, or special milestones, my goal is to create an experience where people feel comfortable, confident, and truly themselves. I believe the best photographs come from genuine moments rather than forced poses.
What I’m most proud of is the trust my clients place in me. Knowing that the images I create become part of their family’s and friends. It’s an honor to show memories they’ll look back on for years to come. What sets me apart is my personalized approach. I take the time to get to know each client, I focus not only on delivering beautiful images but also on providing an experience that people enjoy from start to finish. My goal is for every client to walk away with photographs that feel personal, timeless, and uniquely their own.

Spending time with my twin sister, and playing sports with my dad in our back yard.
