Today we’d like to introduce you to Allen Raeuchle.
Hi Allen, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I joined JCI Shakopee a little under 2 years ago to help and support my fiancé as well as to help out the community and to be a part of something bigger. After a few months the board of directors asked if I wanted to be a part of the board since they liked my dedication and with ethic. After being a part of the board and working at almost all the events we had going on I was voted to be the 2026 chapter president.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road but like in life I don’t expect it to be. Although I do think and feel there have definitely been more good than bad or rocky times.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We are a leadership volunteer organization, we specialize in giving opportunities for leadership for young adults (age 18-40), although we do have our junior Jaycees (under 18) and our alumni (over 40). We help teach and offer leadership opportunities for members who have always wanted to be in a leadership position but hasn’t been given the opportunity. We run projects as small as clean ups around Shakopee to as big as selling beer at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival.
