Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Pipal.
Hi Amanda, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
As a little girl, I always dreamed of working in medicine. I have been passionate about the mind and body for as long as I can remember. I spent many years working in various health and human service roles until I decided to venture onto my own path. I then discovered the power of alternative healing practices and how well they complement the Western approach to health. For some time, I was enrolled in four different schools at the same time, learning as much as I could about the intricacies of our thoughts, lifestyles, anatomy, and spiritual practices. I developed a passion for helping clients reach the root of their symptoms and to be the guide to walk them through that healing experience. Healing can be messy. Healing can be challenging. Healing can make you want to give up. But when you are with a trusted practitioner in a safe space, it makes it much easier. And so, The Haven at Hallett’s was created. A haven is a place of safety or refuge. No matter your background, health concerns, or life circumstances, The Haven will create an encouraging and safe space for everyone to heal. Over the last few years, I’ve developed relationships with other practitioners in our area who are just like me. Therapists, doctors, specialists, and healers that care deeply about helping their clients holistically heal and reach optimal health and wellness. By creating The Haven, we can bring all those people together under one roof, making it easier for community members to know exactly where they should go when they need help. You may not know what The Haven offers, but you can trust that someone there can help.
It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Starting a new business is always challenging. And creating The Haven was no different. We were met with unpredictable obstacles that made us want to give up several times. There were moments of defeat. But we pursued. We worked as a team to stay motivated, to think outside the box, to find new resources, and to continue bringing this dream to life. Reflectively, it has been a true healing journey. There were roads we had to take that we didn’t want to and choices that had to be made that went against our original plans. It was a constant journey of rediscovering faith and hope that things would work out. And they did. We now have a beautiful holistic health center that helps more people daily. A center that provides a supportive network for practitioners to grow their businesses. And a place within the community that offers hope when all feels lost.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. What can you tell our readers who might need to be more familiar with what you do?
Combining my love for both the mind and the body, my work focuses on helping clients heal physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I incorporate Craniosacral Therapy, Massage Therapy, Lymphatic Health, and Transpersonal Crystal Healing into my sessions. I have a particular interest and skillset for working with the brain and nervous system, psychosomatic symptoms, and complex health histories. I also blend my knowledge of astrology and spiritual practices into conversations to help my clients look deeper at what may be going on for them. But that is just my story. At The Haven, we have many other practitioners who share their knowledge and gifts in the ways of Acupuncture, Personal Training, Nutrition, Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping), Menopause Coaching, Reiki, Life Coaching, Physical Therapy, Vitamin Infusions, and so much more.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
When you bring together this many dreamers, enthusiasts, and motivators genuinely passionate about their work, the possibilities for the future are endless. We meet regularly to develop community classes about health and healing topics, network with other businesses to create new partnerships and research the latest devices and trends we can incorporate. The Haven would never have happened without the incredible support of some influential people who need to be mentioned for their efforts – Gerry Dotson, Bart Weelborg, Cami Gillett, and Siri Erickson. Thank you for everything you’ve done!
