Check Out Charles Evans-Anderson’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Charles Evans-Anderson.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started painting (unironically,) during the pandemic period of 2020. I figured it would just be a temporary hobby, though it turned out to be a permanent hobby. I’ve always enjoyed visual arts, and I feel that my style relates to those who enjoy abstract, fever dream-like works that don’t follow much logic. I’m currently developing my styles on Instagram as ArtistryCEA, including penwork and incoming ceramic projects.

I haven’t much to say; If you enjoy avant-garde, I’m your guy. Thanks.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Very smooth and very free. The freedom of artistic expression is one that contrasts the otherwise hard-working background from which I come in regards to having worked in multiple fields, maintaining my physical fitness, college, theatre, and coming from a family of dreamers with motivation from my very diligent mother Candace.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m known currently for my abstract paintings- and by abstract I mean more that they’re strange rather than belonging in the category of abstract. I specialize in acrylic paintings, and I’ve networked with underground artists to create album covers for their works. As far as what I’m proud of, and what sets me apart- I’d have to give it to my weirdness. I would like to stay inspired to show that unconventional visions can maintain a foothold in the professional visual arts world- and I’m developing my style to do so.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I can see myself incorporating ceramics, oil paintings, and a clothing brand to my reservoir after developing more aspects of my visual acrylics game.
