Check Out Diana Angulo’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Diana Angulo

Hi Diana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m from Colombia, I studied business administration, and my favorite part was digital marketing. Still, at the same time, I liked photography and video creation, so I have always posted travel and adventure videos on my personal Instagram. People liked how I edited the videos with the music and transitions. So for that, my story with the content creation as a job started 3 years ago at a party in Minneapolis; I was recording the DJ, all the party, and my friends with my cell phone, and I posted it on my Instagram stories, the next day the DJ texted me and asked me to work recording his events so he could post them and be more recognized, from there I turned my hobby into my work. Since I am a small entrepreneur, I like to help others who are also starting to have their own business, so I have created content (photos and videos) and designed strategies for social media for small businesses. I have worked with many local brands from Minnesota, but at the same time, I have had the opportunity to work with big brands like Steaz from Pennsylvania, Cape Cod Chips from Massachusetts, and Orajel from New York.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all, as an entrepreneur we live on a roller coaster, but that’s what it’s about; I think the most challenging thing is to maintain discipline and a positive attitude because when you know what you like, you make your plan and create your own business you are already halfway there. But then, there is a point when your first *no* comes when you are rejected for a project or you make a mistake, your energy goes down, and it’s normal; that makes you ask yourself if continuing running your business is worth it if you are on the right path. Sadly, many entrepreneurs don’t survive that point; they leave their businesses forgotten. Giving up or continuing is the most challenging step that all entrepreneurs experience; some people give up, and others continue to succeed by learning from their mistakes.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might need to become more familiar with what you do, what can you tell them about what you do?
I have worked as a content creator at many events in Minnesota, but I’m focusing on product photography and video; I have my creative studio at home with all the equipment, like props and lights. So, I’m working with local Minnesota brands, offering them content creation packages and marketing strategies for their social media. At the same time, I work with different platforms that connect big brands with content creators, so they send me their products. I create all the content they need, and the brands use it to promote their products on social media and sale platforms like Amazon.

Before we go, can you talk to us about how people can work, collaborate, or support you?
If you’re a small business owner feeling lost and unsure about how to attract more customers, I can assist you. We’ll have a collaborative meeting where we’ll work together to understand your business. I’ll provide you with all the necessary information and strategies to help you grow. Whether you sell products or services, I can help you create engaging content that will give your social media a fresh look and elevate your brand. My goal is to support you in reaching your business goals.
