Check Out Emmanuel Luangkhamdeng’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emmanuel Luangkhamdeng.

Hi Emmanuel, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born in Vancouver, Canada and moved to the United States in the same year. Most of my childhood was spent in Minnesota and now I live in Wisconsin.

I’m a big dreamer. I dream of achieving greatness and sharing whatever gifts I have with the world. Entertainment and music played a huge part in my childhood dreams. I loved watching YouTube creators such as Ryan Higa, theDOMINICshow, and Epic Rap Battles of History create funny skits and videos. These creators not only entertained me, but inspired me to create videos like they did. Some of my favorite musical artists include J. Cole, Jon Bellion, Lecrae, and KYLE. These artists inspired me to create my own music so that I too can inspire young dreamers like me.

I recently just graduated from Bethany Lutheran College with a bachelor’s degree in Media Arts. With the experience and skill sets I’ve developed in those years at college, I can walk out with confidence and share my passion of content creation with the world!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
As someone who’s been trying to make it with creating music and videos, you tend to stick out because you’re trying to achieve something big for yourself. In high school, people judged me and laughed behind my back because of what I was trying to achieve. It was very discouraging, but then I took it upon myself to just trust the process and keep going. I didn’t care what people thought about me because I genuinely enjoyed what I was creating. This mindset has helped me to conquer my doubts, develop more strength in my skills, and gain more confidence in myself.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As a creative, I enjoy making all types of content. When I was younger, I absolutely enjoyed making YouTube skits and vlogs, and then I stopped for a bit focus on making music. I would love to get back into it so expect 2022 to have more YouTube content! With music, I’ve been writing and recording my own music for about 5 years now and I plan to drop an album early this year. Back when Vine was popping, I was out here creating Vines. Now that Vine’s dead, I moved onto TikTok and have amassed quite a following on there as well. In early 2021 I even created my own podcast called the Blindfold Off Podcast. As you can see, I’ve made LOTS of media content, and I don’t ever plan to stop because I love it!

I’m most proud of the confidence I’ve developed from creating all of these different types of content. At first, I was very nervous to get into anything, but with time, constructive criticism, and a tribe of supporters, I’m proud to say that I feel like a master at the work I do now!

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something surprising might be that I actually like going to the dentists haha! I don’t know why people are so scared of having clean teeth.
