Hi Grant, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Raised in Germany. Father American/Mother German. I am fluent in English and German and started my career as a dancer and program manager for the military. I moved to Chicago at 24 Dayton, Hudson’s Marshal Field’s FASHBASH/Glamorama brought me to the Twin Cities Company member of MyroJohnson’s Ballet of the Dolls 2000-2014 15 seasons. I started as a Television Style Expert in 2004. My business mission is to inspire, create, and educate clients in experiential and color. My business model is We Dream in Color. My life is full of passion for my husband and dogs and for mentoring young youth who need support and embrace creative thinking and strategy. I am a local Style Expert and Creative agency owner. Many titles, hard work, and relationship-building have led me on this path. My favorite is hosting and telling personal stories, missions, and philanthropic agendas. I am much better and more personal in person. A true talker. Senior class best dressed with a luxury vibe. The kind with boundaries. We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Lots of therapy. Currently, I am happy, healthy, and have inner peace.
Struggles:
– Fat gay kid
– I lost my sister at the age of 10 to meningitis; she was 15,
– Overcame an eating disorder
– I lost my mother to cancer last year
Lots of learning. I continue to learn and want to continue to grow. I stand in the footsteps of my mentors with grace and gratitude.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might need to become more familiar with what you do, what can you tell them about what you do?
I am truthfully known as a one-of-a-kind. I consider myself all things American with a European twist. The twist includes never saying no and wanting to excel at the opportunities. People know me for being a fashion expert, the local guy who has created meaningful pop culture fashion experiences. I support more excellent missions—an ideas guy with strong organizational skills. In my events, we do complete concept to execution titles; however, we range from producer, director, choreographer, host, stage manager, dreamer, and experience maker. At my current age, I am humble, but I know my skill set. I am an ideas guy that makes the idea happen. Imagination can become a reality.
Do you have any big plans?
I came to Minneapolis to build, learn, and create a community. As a business owner, I want to join a larger organization and become Germany’s next style expert. Taking all things US twist to new levels abroad.
