Check Out Jayda Wroblewski’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jayda Wroblewski.

Jayda, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I graduated from The Cosmetology Academy at Gogebic Community College, Ironwood, MI in June 2020. I attained my licensure shortly thereafter in November 2020. I began working in a salon in Ashland, WI in the early months of 2021. While in the salon, I recognized the demand for on-site hair and makeup artists in the area. I booked a handful of weddings in 2021 which led me on an exciting journey into the bridal industry. During my first year, I met so many amazing people and was able to help them feel even more beautiful than they already were on their special day.

The personal connection and satisfaction of having made a difference in the lives of my clients were what sparked it all for me. During the last six months of 2021, I took the leap and dedicated time to starting and building my own business, Northern Bridal Artistry. When the 2022 season had come and gone I was over the moon about how much I had grown, not only as a business but as a business owner and an individual. I am so thankful for all of my past clients because without them I wouldn’t be where I am today.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
For the most part, it has been a pretty smooth road.

Living in a rural area means that there are occasional early mornings or weekends away from my family when I need to travel from the U.P. of Michigan to event sites but I’ve found that at the end of the day, the satisfaction of having made an impact in a client’s life is worth it. At times trying to find a balance between work and family can be a lot but I have been working to set those boundaries for myself.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
When it comes to bridal services I offer both hairstyling and makeup. With hair, I specialize in more airy/boho-inspired styles but always try to deliver exactly what my client is looking for.

When it comes to makeup, I specialize in airbrush techniques having done everything from natural/neutral to full-on sparkly glam. I have always had a passion for creating beautiful art and that’s how I look at each hair and makeup session I provide to clients. I am most proud of how I have transformed the way I perform my services to make my guests feel pampered. With padded timing and one on one time with me I strive to make sure each client feels their best on their wedding day.

What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The biggest and most important lesson I have learned so far in my journey is quality over quantity. Starting in 2023 I now only take one wedding per day.

Whether there is one person or five, I want to take the time to make sure that everyone feels and looks their best. I look forward to growing my business and continuing to provide a worry-free and memorable experience for my clients.
