Today we’d like to introduce you to Kellie Anderson
Hi Kellie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I have always had a passion for organizing parties and events, but it was the experience of planning my own wedding in 2013 that ignited my dream of becoming an event planner. Since then, I have enjoyed assisting friends with various occasions, which helped grow my creativity for the industry. This path has inspired me to launch my own business.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Starting a small business is definitely not a walk in the park. It is lots of late nights, early mornings, finding things that work and things that definitely do not. It’s connecting with the community and other small businesses. Some days seem like you’re on top of the world, other days make you want to quit. I love the quote, “Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.”
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As the owner of Graceful Midwest Gatherings, I am passionate about creating events that are not only beautiful but also meaningful. From the smallest details to the big picture, I strive to make every event special and unique. We do birthday parties, bridal showers, baby showers, retirement parties, team building events, pop up experiences and so much more. We are here to make our client’s vision come to life. We set ourselves apart by providing so many different options to our clients. Whether they are needing a full party planned or just an experience provided to give their attendees an engaging activity to do.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
As a small business, we greatly appreciate any support. No support is “small” when it comes to a small business.
