Today we’d like to introduce you to Leaving Hope.
Hello Leaving Hope, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We started in 2019/2020, right around the pandemic. We met our drummer (Jericho Wolf) at a show, and the vibe was right. We aren’t much further from where we started, as we are still just four dudes who love making music.
Each of us has his own experiences and inspirations, and we bring all of them to the table. We are always writing, practicing, and working on our craft.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not! Hahaha. We have had our fair share of normal band struggles (money, relationships, etc.), and I’m confident we will have plenty more.
If this were easy, it wouldn’t be worthwhile. But we are dead set on moving forward, growing, learning, evolving, and reaching as many people as we can.
Thanks – So what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We are currently focused on our first album, and working tirelessly on it! We are always focused on multiple things simultaneously, currently centered around the album, more content and merch, as well as always maintaining focus on our live performances. (Something we take pride in).
Our work is a labor of love and will always be. We write music about our own lives and the human experience. Our music has proven cathartic for us, and for our listeners. And, just like our band name, how it is interpreted is entirely up to you.
We are just getting started, and already making a difference in peoples’ lives. And not just our own! Perhaps we accomplish this by not playing it safe, not shying away from things, and just being a group of guys on stage, bare bones, raw, and real. Come on out to a show and see for yourself just what sets us apart!
How do you define success?
Dee here. I, personally, always said that I’d know I succeeded the moment a stranger tells me that my music makes them feel the way music made me feel: like I’m not alone.
That moment has happened, and now, this is all about making as many people realize that as possible with what we do. Real success can be measured by the good we do with it.
