Today we’d like to introduce you to Riley Paige Barnes
Riley Paige , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I always loved singing and it’s been my favorite thing to do. I started vocal lessons at 5 and have been with the same vocal coach since then! My first performance was when I was six on the stage for fender center. I have since sang all over California performing for crowds of hundreds up to 70,000! And have been frequently doing the national anthem at MlB games.
I started writing my own music when I was 11, at first with my ukulele and then with my guitar, MayLilly, when I got her for my 12th birthday. My cousin Phil helped me record my first song which you can find on all streaming services and I’m looking forward to releasing more soon.
I was just recently signed to a Talent agency, Aqua Talent and hope that will lead to more adventures for me.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This hasn’t always been a smooth road for me. I have had some struggles, one in particular that I call the goat. Where I run out of breathe when I’m belting and it makes my voice shaky. But I’ve overcome that and now I’m dealing with learning new ways to sing and keep my range as my voice is changing and growing with age. I also sometimes struggle with writing music but I’ve found just writing down my feelings in moments where I feel emotional, helps me write songs.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in singing and that’s what I’m known for. I just recently started to explore the different avenues in the entertainment industry. I’m most proud of overcoming the things that challenge me. What sets me apart from others is I don’t give up when it’s hard and I want to connect with people when I sing and share my music with others,
