Check Out Taryn Lee’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taryn Lee.

Hi Taryn, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Beverly Junes Balloons began in May of 2024 as a creative leap of faith, but the heart of it started even earlier in my own home. As a mom, I poured so much love into creating special birthday parties for my kids. What began as decorating for our own family celebrations quickly became something more. My cousin and I realized how much joy we found in designing those moments, and we decided to turn that shared passion into a business. We named it after our grandma, Beverly June, a woman who embodied warmth, hospitality, and making people feel truly special. Building something in her honor felt deeply meaningful.
As demand grew through word of mouth and social media, I discovered just how much I loved the creative process and the impact it had on others. There is something powerful about transforming an ordinary space into the backdrop of a core memory. As the vision expanded, I stepped into sole ownership and fully committed to growing Beverly Junes Balloons into what it is today.
Now, as the owner and creative behind the brand, I focus on custom installations, elevated designs, and creating seamless, beautiful celebrations for families and businesses in our community. Beverly Junes Balloons is about more than décor. It is about helping people slow down and celebrate the moments that matter most, all while carrying on my grandma’s spirit.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely has not been a completely smooth road. Starting a business in an industry I knew nothing about came with a steep learning curve. I had to teach myself everything from designing installations and building equipment to printing custom vinyl and sourcing quality materials. On top of the creative side, there was the business side, learning about taxes, forming an LLC, marketing, pricing, client communication, and all of the behind the scenes work that people do not always see.
The transition from co ownership to running the business on my own was another big shift. It required me to grow quickly in confidence and decision making. There have been long weekends, constant planning, late night client messages, and plenty of miles logged driving to and from setups. Balancing that with being a mom and managing home life has stretched me in new ways.
Now I am in a season of figuring out what growth looks like next, whether that means hiring help during busy seasons and learning how to delegate while still maintaining the quality and personal touch that means so much to me.
It has been challenging, but every lesson has shaped the business into what it is today. Seeing the final result at an event and knowing I built this from the ground up makes all of it worth it.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At Beverly Junes Balloons, I specialize in custom balloon installations for birthdays, showers, school events, corporate gatherings, and grand openings. I focus on creating designs that feel elevated, intentional, and tailored to each client rather than one size fits all décor. Whether it is an organic garland, a full backdrop setup, or custom vinyl details, I love taking someone’s vision and turning it into something that feels even better than they imagined.
I am probably most known for my attention to detail and the way I incorporate personal touches into each install. From carefully curated color palettes to custom signage and layered textures, I want every setup to feel cohesive and thoughtfully designed. Because I am a mom who started this by decorating my own kids’ parties, I understand how meaningful these milestones are. That perspective shapes the way I approach every event.
What I am most proud of is building this business from the ground up and seeing it become part of so many special moments in our community. There is something incredibly rewarding about walking into a space before an event and completely transforming it.
What sets me apart is the level of care I put into both the design and the experience. I handle everything personally, from concept to installation, and I value clear communication and reliability just as much as creativity. My goal is not just to provide balloons, but to create a seamless experience so clients can truly enjoy their celebration.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I always had a creative side. I loved music and finding unique ways to express myself, but some of my favorite memories were crafting and scrapbooking with my grandma. She encouraged creativity and made even the simplest moments feel special, and that’s something that has stayed with me.
At the same time, I’ve always had a strong desire to help others. That led me to my career as a Licensed Behavior Analyst, working with autistic individuals and others with developmental differences. Supporting families, helping people reach milestones, and making meaningful connections has been incredibly rewarding.
In many ways, Beverly Junes Balloons is an extension of both sides of me. It combines my love for creativity with my desire to bring joy to others. Every party or event I work on is not just about the décor—it’s about creating experiences that celebrate milestones and bring people together, much like I do in my work as a behavior analyst. It’s a way to use creativity to make a real impact on people’s lives, big or small, while carrying on the values my grandma instilled in me.
