Hi Timi, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my journey with a deep love for music ever since I was little. Music has been with me through the highs and lows of life, which naturally led me to DJing in 2024. Growing up in Minnesota after being born in Nigeria, I was always drawn to creating moments that bring people together. I have been on a journey to hone my skills blending hip hop, R&B, pop, and Afrobeats to craft unique experiences for weddings, private events, and corporate functions. My DJ style is all about making people feel frozen in time, enjoying the vibes and leaving them wanting more.
Beyond DJing, my passion for entrepreneurship has driven me to explore various ventures. I’ve started Arctic Vibe Entertainment, a DJ company specializing in creating unforgettable experiences. I’m also working on starting a way to help new DJs get out of their bedrooms and in front of people!
Through it all, my greatest motivation comes from my family. Being a husband and dad pushes me to keep growing and striving to build something meaningful. Whether it’s spinning tracks at an event or launching a new venture, my goal remains the same—creating experiences that leave a lasting impact.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road—far from it. Balancing my passion for DJing and entrepreneurship with my professional career and family life has presented its fair share of challenges. There were times when managing multiple responsibilities felt overwhelming, especially when trying to grow my DJ business while working full-time. Finding the right balance between my work, my dreams, and spending quality time with my family has been an ongoing journey.
Starting a business comes with its own set of struggles—financial hurdles, building brand awareness, and overcoming self-doubt. Breaking into competitive markets like the wedding and entertainment industry as a DJ is tough as you’re basically working and figuring things out by yourself, I’ve had to stay persistent and adaptable. There were also moments of doubt, wondering if I was making the right moves or if I should play it safe.

I’m a DJ, and entrepreneur, with a passion for creating unforgettable experiences. As the founder of Arctic Vibe Entertainment, I specialize in DJing weddings, private events, and corporate functions, blending genres like hip hop, R&B, pop, and Afrobeats to deliver a unique and energetic vibe. My goal is to make people feel frozen in time, leaving them wanting more after every event.
I’m most proud of the positive feedback I’ve received from every gig I’ve performed. Hearing clients rave about how I made their special day or event unforgettable is what fuels my passion and drive. It’s not just about playing music—it’s about reading the crowd, creating the right atmosphere, and delivering a seamless experience from start to finish.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect with people on a deeper level. Whether it’s through music, business, or everyday interactions, I strive to bring authenticity, energy, and a personal touch to everything I do. My diverse background—growing up in Minnesota with Nigerian roots—has given me a unique perspective, allowing me to fuse different cultural influences into my work. I’m also constantly evolving, always looking for ways to improve and innovate, whether it’s through new mixes, business ideas, or finding creative ways to engage my audience.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the incredible support system around me. First and foremost, my wife has been my biggest cheerleader and source of strength. She’s supported me through every late-night gig, business idea, and challenge, always believing in my vision even when I doubted myself. Her unwavering encouragement and understanding have been instrumental in my success, helping me balance my passion for DJing and entrepreneurship with family life.
