Community Highlights: Meet Alyshia Jackson of 1st Class Cleaning Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alyshia Jackson.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I previously worked for a large corporation but decided to start my own business to impact change in the community in a way that works for me and aligns with my values. I started my business in the middle of the pandemic in July 2020 When the city of Minneapolis was making history on behalf of George Floyd. Taking the opportunity to rebuild and clean up the community transitioned to providing opportunities for others.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
By starting my business and upholding my values, I am able to make a difference in shifting the narrative of the public that janitorial work is a real job.

Covid hit the janitorial community hard. Most of these spaces were closed or going out of business but things are starting to pick back up as businesses are starting to reopen.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Post-construction and janitorial services We are a certified woman-owned minority business built on quality, customer care, and extreme attention to detail. Known for our great customer services and Superior services.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
Love the community support, growth of entrepreneurship.

The least I like about the city is the weather.
