Today we’d like to introduce you to Brenda Iris Rodriguez-Mendlik.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have always loved fashion but I struggled since childhood with low self-esteem. I was forced by life events to heal my mental and emotional health, in order to heal I embarked on a journey to find my self and my confidence and that’s when a discovered Style Coaching. I noticed that when I took care of my inner and outer self I felt whole, beautiful and confident. I wanted to share this beautiful process with women who are ready to see their beauty, become more confident and feel empowered.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road but nothing ever is. Many times I am my hardest critic and not to mention the imposter syndrome and self-sabotage. Telling myself “why would people want to work with me”, “why would they care what I have to say” and of course, “I might just not be good enough”. Some my struggles are within my own self.
As you know, we’re big fans of Brenda Iris Personal Image Stylist-Mindful Styling. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I’m on a mission to help women leaders dress for success and feel more confident throughout their personal image and style.
I wholeheartedly love what I do. My approach to style and fashion is not to just based on what’s trendy, but to empower and help my client feel beautiful on the inside and out, while staying organic to their true selves. Only that way will my services create a lasting positive change.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
At some point not too long I was one of those people that struggled with extremely low confidence. My earlier years of life from the time I lived in Mexico to my migration to the USA created this girl that didn’t believe in herself, didn’t believe in her Internal and outer beauty. But instead accepted other people’s negative opinions of her as her truth. However, through personal development, I discovered myself and my strength….But, I still do get nervous from time to time when I meet new clients and pray that I do good by them. It’s a work in progress. =)
