Today we’d like to introduce you to Chase Hennessey
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
We started in 2021 after being part of a mass last off due to covid. My most recent background was in commercial architecture writing as a construction administrator. I worked for a custom home builder growing up. I’m 2021 I decided to start my own business as I had a passion for helping people and residential home projects.
I have always enjoyed outdoor spaces bring fire pits, water features, and outdoor kitchens.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No each year as we have been in business there are challenges. As a small business owner that wears all hats there’s not enough time in the day. So as we have grown, having time blocked and dedicated to client communication ( new requests, projects in design or material ordering, where they fall in schedule when we have delays such as weather). Being in the field doing install with our crews focusing on quality and keeping schedule, the office side typically falls behind.
We started doing 3D design in 2023 for our projects and that has helped immensely as our clients get to see their house what their project will look and feel like in the space but as well as what it may look like from other vantage points, such as a deck that in existing or may not be there yet.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We specialize in outdoor living space and curb appeal. Most our projects consist of a few elements such as retaining walls, paver patios and or water management solutions. We added 3D design in house so that the collaboration is there between home owner, client and construction team.

When people see the design and their home as the model it really opens up the box for creativity an upsell important features such as lighting. Before designs I had a check list of features and lighting was one that always was a quick no or an item to take out of the budget. Once our clients see the model “wow! We are doing that lighting package” or something to that extent. It brings a while new feel to your project when approaching and I’m the space. I feel it would be a disservice to our clients by not putting elements like this into our design.
Other features we typically include are: out door kitchens, pool and hot tub spaces, decks, turf and putting greens, water features, lighting and sound, fences, pergolas.
Also I’m the winter, unlike most landscapers we do not push snow. We do handyman / honey do-list services and small remodel projects. Several of our landscape clients are also our handyman and remodel clients. We feel we get to know our clients very well. This has lead to great referrals and repeat business.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Quality.
I treat all projects as if it were my own home. Not only what is in the best interest of the client as return on investment, but also not cutting any corners even if it’s the smallest of detail.
Pricing:
- Design averages around $2500. However the upfront investment results in less change orders and we have a more efficient schedule
- Most landscaping projects range from $15,000-$75,000
