

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Black.
Hi Chris, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
We started during Covid. I had been a turntablist, nightclub dj for about 15 years in the city before Covid shut the clubs down. After a long period of unemployment- I decided I was going to make a move from hobbiest pizza maker to full time pizza maker. I orders a brick oven from Italy and put it in my garage- which I vented through the roof. I kept working on pizza dough a source recipes until I felt the product was good enough to launch. Then we went mobile. We started as a pop up. I had a pizza oven on top of a ‘bed side’ in the back of my truck and we would go to farmers markets to setup/ vend pizza. I’d pull the pizza oven out of the back and setup the refrigeration around the truck and make pizza. My wife and I later converted our cargo trailer into our first mobile pop up stand and then we built a 100% custom pizza trailer from the ground up.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There is no smooth road along the way. Life and this journey is full of ups and downs. You have to be a person that wears many hats. You have to be able the think/ fix/ and solve problems on the fly.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are authentic mobile Italian pizza, made to order, on an Italian oven. We make all of our dough and sauce. Most of our products are imported from Italy. Our goal is to make you feel like you had a mothership pizza everything you visit our pizza stand.
