Today we’d like to introduce you to Connor Steen. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Connor Steen started Unique Movers in 2015 to bring his unique vision to the world of home and business moving. He loves meeting new clients, helping organize their move, and being the go-to moving company across Minnesota. Growing up in Holdingford, MN, Connor knew he wanted to be successful and make a difference in people’s lives.

Starting his career in real estate, he began helping his St. Cloud area real estate clients with their moves and found great satisfaction in getting them into their new homes. He began with only an SUV and rented trailers. As his reputation grew, he was able to afford his first truck and trailer.

Connor loves the satisfaction of seeing a family or business settle into their new, furnished space.

Founded in 2015, Unique Movers is a full service team of local movers, dedicated to moving residential and commercial/office clients across Minnesota!

Owner Connor Steen started Unique Movers in Sauk Rapids to augment his real estate work with Premier Real Estate Services. We started out serving clients across the greater St. Cloud area, but have expanded with our client base.

Working within the state of Minnesota, Unique Movers utilizes pickup trucks and trailers rather than the usual box van or cargo truck of other moving companies. As local movers, we understand the realities of Minnesota weather in all four seasons!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has definitely been a learning curve starting a business from complete scratch. I have been able to take on many dead end roads and curves thrown at me however I never it let me get off track for what I was visioned to do. The journey is what I call it, from the ups and downs to the ins and outs I have learned many things when trying to be legit and do things the right way. I have also learned employees have not to bad to deal with if you are completely upfront with them and you stick to your word. I have always treated family like how I would want to be treated. In other words I treat them like family.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success when you think you have succeeded. Everyone has their own type of definition or at ease feeling. I think we often chase the wrong thing for success and sometimes you need to sit back and see what you have actually done rather than think you have success. This is a big word for me and that’s why I believe Unique Movers has gotten to where it is at but that’s because I have not found myself successful nor the business. So if you keep working towards success the success rate should incline. I have met people that make $100 dollars a day and some that have made millions in a day and all far and few in between find themselves successful. Success is yours when you are ready to accept it.
