Community Highlights: Meet Courtney Hibben of ChiroSport

Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Hibben

Hi Courtney, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I grew up as a competitive figure skater, which sparked my passion for chiropractic care after experiencing a sports-related injury in high school. That experience inspired me to pursue a career where I could help other athletes recover and perform at their best, so I earned my Doctorate of Chiropractic with a sports emphasis from Northwestern Health Sciences University.

I moved to Texas to complete my final internship, where I also began my practice. While living in Texas, I started sharing my journey on social media, and it quickly became a passion of mine. I love being able to share my career, wellness tips, and my life with others.

Two years ago, I moved back to Minnesota and have been practicing at ChiroSport ever since. I absolutely love my practice and the treatment style I’ve developed. My appointments are 60 minutes long, focusing heavily on muscle work and corrective exercise, which I believe provide the most effective, long-term solutions to my patients’ concerns. My goal is to help my patients live healthier, more active lives.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Choosing the career I’m in now wasn’t an easy road. Initially, I was accepted into chiropractic school but decided not to go because of the negative public opinion surrounding chiropractors. It was a tough decision to make, but I let those external views influence my choice at the time.

A few years later, everything changed after I was involved in a car accident while with my mom. We immediately went to my chiropractor for help, and that experience was a turning point for me. Seeing the relief and care I received firsthand made me realize just how valuable chiropractic care is, and that’s when I decided to reapply to school.

When I started chiropractic school, I thought I would practice in a more traditional way, but as I progressed, I was exposed to a different side of chiropractic care. I saw how effective muscle work and corrective exercise could be, and I knew that this approach aligned more with how I wanted to help my patients. So, I chose to pursue that path, and it’s made a huge difference in my practice.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My practice specializes in working with active individuals, and I’m known for providing intensive muscle work, customized corrective exercises, and plenty of lifestyle tips to help my patients stay healthy and active. What really sets me apart is my focus on patient-centered care—it’s the foundation of everything I do in the clinic. I don’t just treat the symptoms; I truly listen to my patients to understand their concerns and work to address the root causes of their issues.

I also place a huge emphasis on women’s health, as I’ve seen firsthand how often women’s concerns are overlooked in healthcare. I’m proud of my passion and empathy, which I pour into every patient interaction. My goal isn’t to create dependency but to empower my patients with tools and knowledge, so they can thrive and take control of their own health. I want them to feel strong, capable, and in control of their bodies, long after they leave my clinic.

At the end of the day, my brand is built on the idea that everyone deserves personalized, empathetic care that helps them live their most active and healthy lives.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I love most about our city is how everything feels close and accessible, and the traffic is manageable (except for 494, of course!). Minneapolis has that unique balance of feeling like a small town meets a big city, and I love that. Being near MSP is such a perk too—we’re just a 3-4 hour flight from almost anywhere in the U.S. I also love the seasons, the amazing shopping, and how kind everyone is. There’s a real sense of Midwest culture here, and it feels like a true community.

If I had to pick something I like least, it would be the food scene. I’m not a huge fan, but I’m working on trying more places and expanding my go-to spots. And, while I love winter, I do wish it were a little shorter and a bit brighter!
