Community Highlights: Meet Deb Frischmon of Open Your Heart with Deb

Today we’d like to introduce you to Deb Frischmon.

Hi Deb, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I spent 17 years as an elementary school teacher, guiding curious minds in 2nd and 4th grade. Teaching was deeply fulfilling, but everything shifted when my brother passed away from an accidental overdose. That heartbreaking loss cracked something open in me, and I began asking life’s big questions.

As I searched for meaning and healing, I started receiving answers in unexpected ways, some were from the other side as I became super sensitive to energy. I felt a strong, undeniable nudge to leave my teaching career —even though I had no idea what would come next. Trusting my heart, I took a leap into the unknown.

Without any previous yoga experience, I found myself signing up for a yoga teacher training. That one decision became the turning point of my life.

Yoga didn’t just change me physically—it opened me up mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. It was like a door to a whole new way of being had swung wide open.

From there, I felt led and followed the breadcrumbs.

One step at a time, I discovered my true calling: guiding others on their journey of healing, awakening, and ascension. That path has led me to not only teach yoga and help people connect to a sense of oneness, but also to give intuitive numerology readings, work with energy healing and sacred geometry, lead transformational retreats, mentor women, and host full-day immersive experiences designed to shift lives.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Making such a big life shift came with its fair share of challenges and heartache. When I left my teaching job, I also left behind a beloved community—friends, colleagues, and students who truly meant a lot to me. In our small town, I had built an identity as a dedicated, well-loved teacher. Letting go of that familiar role and the sense of purpose and connection that came with it was deeply emotional.

I was stepping into completely uncharted territory, a world that most people around me hadn’t explored. I didn’t have a roadmap—I was following intuition alone. I became something of a pioneer in my community, diving into studies that many found unfamiliar or even uncomfortable at the time—like intuition development (often called psychic development), energy healing, and learning to connect with the other side of the veil.

As I studied ancient healing modalities and began using sacred tools and techniques, I found myself having to “come out of the spiritual closet,” so to speak. I had to find the courage to let people see the real me—my gifts, my sensitivities, my truth. That was vulnerable. I wasn’t sure how I’d be received or if I’d be misunderstood.

One of the hardest parts was learning how to balance the emerging, more expanded version of myself with the person I had always been. I didn’t want to lose the people I loved, but I also couldn’t deny this deep transformation happening within me. Holding both versions—honoring the past while fully stepping into my future—was a delicate dance. But in doing so, I discovered that when we show up authentically, we give others permission to do the same. And that has brought me deeper, more meaningful connections than I ever imagined.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Open Your Heart with Deb?
My business is called Open Your Heart with Deb, and it’s truly a reflection of my soul’s mission. I consider myself both a yogi and an ascension guide—here to support and empower others as they expand into their highest potential. Everything I offer is rooted in the intention of helping people reconnect with their inner wisdom, raise their vibration, and live with more joy, clarity, and purpose.
Through Open Your Heart with Deb, I guide people through transformative practices including yoga, breathwork, meditation, and sound healing. Each class or session is designed to create space for deeper connection—within the body, the heart, and the spirit.
As an energy healer, I work with sacred activations that help individuals release old patterns, clear energetic blocks, and awaken to their true selves. These sessions are powerful tools for emotional healing and spiritual awakening, and they often create profound shifts in how people experience their lives.

One of the most unique offerings I share is intuitive numerology readings. These sessions reveal a person’s soul blueprint—what they came into this lifetime to learn, master, and embody. It’s an eye-opening and affirming experience that helps people understand their purpose on a much deeper level.

I teach yoga in studios and online, making it accessible to people no matter where they are. I also love bringing people together in person through my healing day experiences and soul-nourishing retreats. These gatherings are where transformation really comes alive—offering safe, sacred spaces for people to reconnect with themselves and each other, and leave feeling renewed and empowered.

Everything I do under Open Your Heart with Deb comes back to one core truth: when we open our hearts, we expand all parts of our lives. My work is to help others remember who they really are and guide them as they step into the light of their full potential living heaven on earth.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned—and truthfully, am still learning—is to hold my head high, believe in myself, and keep going, no matter what. The path of following your soul’s calling and mission isn’t always easy. There are distractions, doubts, and naysayers. There are seasons when things flow beautifully and others when sign-ups slow down or momentum seems to pause.

In those moments, I remind myself to return to my own teachings. To remember who I truly am at my core. To stand in my sovereign power and to trust the divine timing of it all. It’s been a journey of releasing perfection, letting go of the need for outside approval, and fully embracing the truth that I am enough—just as I am.

This work requires courage, vulnerability, and faith. And every time I choose to stay aligned with my heart and purpose, I grow stronger, more grounded, and more free.
