Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Mel Krug.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
After spending years in and out of doctor’s offices, I started to feel like just a number in my health journey. Pills, restrictive diets, and numbing emotions just weren’t cutting it anymore.
After discovering the powerful healing benefits of Network Spinal Chiropractic Care, I’ve continued to radically overcome my own personal health challenges, moving from menstrual cycle dysfunction and emotional trauma to more power and strength in my body, mind, and spirit.
I then founded Inspire Life Chiropractic Center in 2017 in which our team now helps hundreds of people and families every year overcome chronic health challenges including anxiety, indigestion, trauma, sleep, mental health, and so much more. Additionally, I work with clients in the realm of private, 1 on 1 business mentorship and entrepreneurial start-ups as well as mindset, embodiment, and breakthrough coaching. I am dedicated to helping women (and men of course) reclaim their power, navigate stress naturally with more ease, and ultimately live a life filled with empowerment and inspiration from within.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Business is no different than life. Challenges are part of the journey that can ultimately help us cultivate an expanded sense of confidence and resiliency over time. From finding a bank who believed in my vision, to navigating setbacks in the build out process, every struggle has helped me grow. As a holistic practitioner, you develop a closeness to your clients more than other health professions in my opinion. This can also come with struggles, including knowing the depths of trauma and pain in an individual’s life and desiring for them to have a breakthrough (while also knowing the healing work is partially on them).
Oftentimes our clients become like family and it can be hard when they are dealing with challenges too such as the loss of a loved one, life injuries and accidents, losing a job, and more. Creating healthy boundaries when you care so much about people is always a work in progress.
Additionally, when you’re new in business, it can be much easier to over commit and say YES to everything as it all appears to be an “opportunity to grow” at first. I’ve sunk a few thousand dollars here and there. This was when I was new and before I hired coaches who helped me understand the powerful practice of discernment related to my vision and the way I practice.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Inspire Life Chiropractic Center – shifting to Inspire Co.?
At Inspire Life we stand for people’s health inspired by CHOICE, not inhibited by chance. We believe that optimal physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health is our given birthright. Our unique approach to chiropractic care, known as Network Spinal Care, takes a nervous system, bodymind approach to healing and wholeness. We teach our clients how to heal by getting to the source of symptoms and challenges rather than depend on a quick fix.
I (Dr. Mel) am also trained in pediatrics and specialize in children and adults overcome trauma within their bodymind and nervous system over time. I am a breathwork facilitator and coach which allows for a very unique, well-rounded approach in supporting my clients in the most holistic way.
Our newly evolving and expanding brand – Inspire Co. – is more than just your “health and wellness center.” Inspire Co. focuses on health, holism, humanity, and human consciousness. We value sustainability both within our own health and the health of the planet. Ultimately habitual and behavioral change in health first starts with shifting our consciousness and ways of being in our body, with our community, and with our planet. This is what we feel sets us apart from other health businesses – taking a sustainability and consciousness first approach with everything we do.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for the massive support team around me. I am forever grateful for other doctors as well as mindset and business coaches along the way including Lacey Book, Shawn Dill, Brian T. Lumb, Donny Epstein, Danny and Richelle Knowles, Alok Trivedi, Lou Corletto, Tye Moe, and so many more.
Most importantly, I must give a shoutout to my mom, Cindi Krug. She’s been my biggest cheerleader my entire life and has believed in me from the start. From cheering me on at rainy soccer games to sitting down with me and providing collateral to get my first business loan to create Inspire Life, I am forever grateful.
